'BAANrongmiang' is a holiday-pad hidden high up on the hill in a charming little village owned by an advertising couple; opened to family, friends and the like-minded! Prior to this renovation, we've simply abandoned it for over 2 decades. 'BAANrongmiang' is a secret hideaway amidst an authentic native Assam tea & shade-grown Arabica coffee cultivating village, wrapped in lush forest at 1,200m above mean sea level, high up on the Doi Saket mountain range. Breathe in and fill your lungs with fresh air, awake your senses with sweet petrichor or early bird calls, and cleanse away exhaustion with pristine mountain water. Our rental vacation home in Chiang Mai is the perfect place for you to disconnect your mind from all the urban frenzies, and reconnect your body and soul with pure nature! Like every houses in the village, 'BAANrongmiang' was first hand-built by previous local owner in the 80's. Over 20 years ago my family purchased it, and left it mostly unoccupied. So with our permission, it often became "temporary home" for almost all the villagers when they renovate or build their own anew! This 4th major renovation started in late 2016, designed and orchestrated by my father and I, is again built by local villagers--our neighbours who are full-time tea & coffee cultivators and part-time carpenters... and most importantly, past guests of 'BAANrongmiang'! LIVE LIKE THE LOCALS

Try cooking with fresh local ingredients picked from the backyard, hiking up the forest tracks for pure pleasure or to help pick coffee and tea leaves for authentic experiences, see the 'Miang' fermentation and raw coffee beans preparation process, enjoy wading along the brooks and waterfalls, or meditate at the peaceful local temple on top of the hill.

My much awaited spring has arrived! I’m particularly happy about my iris! Got woken up by the temple bells, I sprang up at high speed! Cooked stir fried rice at ultra high speed... came down to get my parents to offer the food to the monks... they waited, I blocked-shot them for photo ops, they drank coffee offered by our next door neighbour... “Oh! The monks has passed,” yelled another neighbour! So dad had to hike up the hill to offer our food to the monks at the temple 😅😂🤣😂😅🤣😂 #บ้านโรงเมี่ยง
