Regenzeit in Thailand – oder wie wir sagen: Gratis-Dusche inklusive!

Wer in den nächsten Monaten nach Thailand reist, sollte eins wissen: Es ist Regenzeit! Aber keine Sorge – das heißt nicht, dass ihr nonstop im Wasser sitzt (außer ihr macht’s euch im Pool gemütlich).

Fakten, die man wissen sollte:
• Regenzeit in Thailand ist von ca. Mai bis Oktober (Andaman-Region: Phuket & Khao Lak).
• Meist regnet es nicht den ganzen Tag, sondern kurz, kräftig und gerne am späten Nachmittag oder Abend.
• Temperaturen? Immer noch heiß! Meist um die 30 Grad – es regnet quasi im Warmduscher-Modus.
• Die Natur sagt: Danke! Alles wird grün, frisch und wunderschön.

Positiv denken – warum die Regenzeit auch super ist:
• Weniger Touristen – mehr Ruhe an Stränden, Sehenswürdigkeiten & im Hotelpool.
• Oft günstigere Preise für Hotels & Touren.
• Der Regen sorgt für spektakuläre Wolkenformationen & Sonnenuntergänge
• Tolle Zeit für Wasserfälle & Regenwald-Abenteuer – z. B. im Khao Sok Nationalpark!

Aber ehrlich ist ehrlich – hier ein paar Nachteile:
• Manchmal regnet’s eben doch den ganzen Tag – Netflix & Massage-Time!
• Einige Boottouren können wetterbedingt ausfallen.
• Luftfeuchtigkeit: Hoch

Unser Tipp für Phuket & Khao Lak:

Packt euch eine Regenjacke, Flip-Flops & gute Laune ein – und lasst euch nicht vom Wetter die Stimmung vermiesen. Die Einheimischen machen’s vor: Ein kurzer Regenschauer? Kein Problem! Einfach unterstellen, lächeln – und weiter geht’s.

Important Notice for Travelers to Thailand – New TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) Starting 1 May

Starting 1 May 2025, Thailand is introducing a new and easier way to enter the country: the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)!

Whether you are visiting for vacation, business, or a long-awaited reunion, it’s important to know about this new process to ensure a smooth arrival at Thai airports.

What is the TDAC?

The TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) replaces the traditional paper arrival cards. It is an online form that travelers can easily complete on their smartphone before or upon arrival in Thailand.

How Does It Work?
• Before your flight or while you are waiting in the immigration queue, visit:
tdac.immigration.go.th
• Fill in your basic details (passport information, flight details, address in Thailand, etc.).
• Submit the form online.
• Once submitted, you will receive a QR code confirming your registration, which you will present to immigration officers.

No Smartphone? No Problem!

If you don’t have access to a smartphone or cannot complete the TDAC online, don’t worry:
Thailand’s major airports (such as Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Phuket, and Chiang Mai) have TDAC Kiosks available.
You can simply complete the digital arrival card there before proceeding to immigration.

Why the Change?
• Faster processing at immigration.
• No more handwritten errors on paper cards.
• Convenient for travelers who prefer using their mobile devices.
• Supports Thailand’s Smart Airport initiatives for a more efficient travel experience.

Key Points to Remember:
• TDAC is mandatory for all international arrivals starting 1 May 2025.
• Submission is FREE of charge.
• Make sure you keep your QR code ready when you reach the immigration counter.

Tomorrow Night (please say it in the sound of the Muay Thai vans!🤩) is the start of Songkran fun in Phuket, Khao Lak, Takua Pa & the rest of Thailand!!!

Here’s what you need to know:

• Festivities in Khao Lak begin on April 11th with live music every evening by the lake/Mun Takua, along with a lively market and all the fun you’d expect.

• Phuket will have parties and festivals all over the island. Most famous is on the 12th (evening /night) and 13th (whole day) in Bang-la Road, Patong.

• Water play officially kicks off on April 13th, they have already started erecting the water tunnel!!! So you’ve still got time to enjoy the build-up before the big splash!

• There will also be special celebrations in Takuapa Old Town on April 13th — more details in below picture.

Please remember it is a National holiday until the 16th April. Banks and Government office etc will be closed 12-16th April
