Due to the severe drought caused by the El Niño phenomenon, raw water sources for tap water production on Koh Samui have dried up and are no longer usable. Currently, the PWA Koh Samui Branch relies on the pipeline from the mainland, providing only approximately 16,000 cubic meters of water per day. This falls significantly short of the island's average daily demand of approximately 34,000 cubic meters.
Consequently, the PWA Koh Samui Branch finds it necessary to adjust its water distribution schedule. This measure aims to maximize the utility of limited water resources and ensure coverage across all areas by dividing the distribution into zones based on a specific schedule.

* Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: Chaweng Noi, Bophut Intersection, Bang Rak, Plai Laem, Plai Laem Soi 4 & 13, Airport (entrance area), Soi Bophut, Fisherman’s Village, parts of the Bophut Intersection.
* Wednesday: Airport (exit area), Choeng Mon, Mat Lang, Plai Laem Soi 11.
