Ministry of Interior Announcement: Revocation of the Ministry of Interior’s Notification Regarding the Special Permission for Certain Categories of Foreigners to Enter and Stay in the Kingdom with Exemption from Submitting the TM.6 Form
The Ministry of Interior has issued an announcement revoking the previous notification dated 27 June 2022, which allowed certain groups of foreigners entering or leaving Thailand by air to be exempt from submitting the TM.6 form (Alien Arrival/Departure Card).
Effective from 1 May 2025, all foreigners entering or exiting Thailand by any means—air, land, or sea—will be required to submit the TM.6 form, similar to those already required for land and sea entry.
This measure aligns with the Immigration Bureau's initiative to implement the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system or online TM.6 system, allowing foreigners to pre-register their information electronically before entering the Kingdom (Pre-Arrival Digital Registration). The aim is to facilitate convenience and enhance the efficiency of screening individuals entering Thailand.
Starting 1 May 2025, all foreigners entering Thailand through air, land, or sea must register their personal information online via the TDAC website at http://tdac.immigration.go.th. Pre-registration is available up to three days before arrival. Those who do not complete pre-registration can still fill out the information at airport registration points before passing through immigration.
During registration, travelers must provide personal details such as full name (as per passport), passport number, nationality, travel information (flight number and arrival date), accommodation address in Thailand, and upload required documents such as a copy of their passport and visa (if applicable). Upon successful registration, travelers will receive a QR Code or confirmation code, which must be shown to immigration officers upon arrival in Thailand.
