🌅 Sunrises and sunsets in Krabi, Ao Nang just hit different.
The sky doesn’t just change color — it puts on a full show. Soft pastels in the morning, then fiery golds and pinks melting into the limestone cliffs by evening. The sea goes calm, the air slows down, and for a few minutes it feels like the whole world is holding its breath.

I’ve seen sunsets in a lot of places… but nothing compares to this.

Road-trippers, take note: Thailand’s Department of Highways is opening 39 free camping sites nationwide for the New Year holiday from Dec 26, 2025 to Jan 5, 2026.

Sites come with parking plus free drinking water and toilets, with staff on duty 24/7.

The locations include 30 in the North, 4 in the Northeast, 4 in Central Thailand, and 1 in the South.

Reservations can be made via local highway offices/units or the 1586 hotline (free, 24 hours), and you can also book on-site.
