Our Story

Ethnic Hilltribe Eco Trails was founded by Khun Mit and his wife Kischa. They started these trails with the dream to give people a chance to experience real authentic hiking trails, to visit hilltribe villages and experience the culture of northern Thailand Hilltribes and the how they live in the mountains of the rainforests or to just completely emerge yourself and hike in the beauty if the jungles and rainforests of the North. On our trails are completely off the beaten track hiking trails, in some of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand's most beautiful National Parks. One being home to the Highest mountain in Thailand, Doi Inthanon National Park and the 3rd highest mountain in Thailand, Pha Daeng National Park in Chiang Dao. Rich in fauna and flora. Incredibly scenic and non touristic. Here you will hike one of a kind special hiking trails. Hiking through the heart of the rain forests. Visit waterfalls, view points and even have the chance to see Gibbons in the Doi Inthanon National Park. Visit hilltribe villages and learn about the traditional herbal medicine used for centuries in home made saunas. Our 2 day trails will either take you to sleep in a hilltribe village in the Mountains of Pha Daeng National Park or to the Churkee Farm stay on the rice fields of a Karen Hilltribe Village in Doi Inthanon National Park.

From November through to February (cool season) the summit to Doi Luang trail opens up and we offer a special Summit Hike to the top of Doi Luang. This is a special trip and is limited in availability. You will hike to the top of Doi Luang, 3rd highest mountain in Thailand

We offer 1 and 2 day trails.
