ตัวนิ่ม (Pangolin)
ตัวนิ่มเป็นสัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมที่มีเกล็ดปกคลุมทั่วร่างกาย พวกมันเป็นสัตว์กลางคืนและกินมดหรือปลวกเป็นอาหารหลัก โดยใช้ลิ้นที่ยาวและเหนียวช่วยจับเหยื่อ ตัวนิ่มสามารถขดตัวเป็นลูกบอลเพื่อป้องกันตัวจากนักล่าได้ ปัจจุบันตัวนิ่มเป็นสัตว์ที่ถูกคุกคามจากการล่าและการค้าผิดกฎหมาย
ลักษณะเด่นของตัวนิ่ม
มีเกล็ดแข็งที่ทำจากเคราตินเหมือนเล็บมนุษย์
ไม่มีฟัน แต่ใช้ลิ้นยาวจับแมลงกิน
มีกรงเล็บแหลมคมสำหรับขุดรังมดและปลวก
ขดตัวเป็นลูกบอลเพื่อป้องกันตัวจากนักล่า
สถานะการอนุรักษ์
ตัวนิ่มทุกสายพันธุ์ได้รับการคุ้มครองภายใต้กฎหมายสากล เนื่องจากถูกล่าเพื่อใช้ประโยชน์จากเกล็ดและเนื้อของมัน หลายสายพันธุ์ถูกจัดให้อยู่ในกลุ่มสัตว์ใกล้สูญพันธุ์
Pangolin
Pangolins are mammals covered with protective scales. They are nocturnal and primarily feed on ants and termites using their long, sticky tongues. When threatened, pangolins curl into a ball to defend themselves. Unfortunately, they are heavily trafficked due to the illegal wildlife trade.

Covered in tough keratin scales, similar to human nails
Toothless but use long tongues to catch insects
Sharp claws for digging into termite and ant nests
Curl into a ball as a defense mechanism
Conservation Status
All pangolin species are protected under international law due to poaching and illegal trade. Many species are classified as endangered.
