“Tranquil House”

The design concept for the house was inspired by its surrounding context, conveyed through a case study of the Ban Pong Sanuk Nua community, Wiang Nuea Subdistrict, Mueang Lampang District, Lampang Province, which was the site of the project. This is an old community in a conservation area distinguished by its cultural richness. Several important temples are in this community, including Wat Pong Sanuk Nua, which has received a UNESCO conservation award. The setting is closely connected to nature, characteristic of rural communities, with temples at the center of the village, clusters of houses interwoven with modern lifestyles, and surrounding agricultural spaces. Contemporary elements were incorporated into the house design to create a tranquil garden atmosphere. The architecture harmonized with the environment, promoting Thai identity, and the functional spaces were suitably designed for the elderly. As a result, this was a comfortable home for everyone living together.

แนวความคิดของการออกแบบบ้านมีแรงบันดาลใจมาจากบริบทโดยรอบ ถ่ายทอดผ่านกรณีศึกษาจากชุมชนบ้านปงสนุกเหนือ ตําบลเวียงเหนือ อําเภอเมืองลําปาง จังหวัดลําปางที่เป็นที่ตั้งโครงการ ซึ่งเป็นชุมชนเก่าแก่ในพื้นที่อนุรักษ์ที่มีความโดดเด่นทางวัฒนธรรม มีวัดสําคัญหลายวัดตั้งอยู่ในชุมชนนี้รวมถึงวัดปงสนุกเหนือที่ได้รับรางวัลการอนุรักษ์จากยูเนสโก UNESCO โดยมีสภาพแวดล้อมที่ใกล้ชิดธรรมชาติตามแบบชุมชนชนบท ภายในหมู่บ้านมีวัดเป็นศูนย์กลางชุมชน กลุ่มอาคารบ้านเรือนต่างๆที่มีรูปแบบการผสมผสานกับวิถีชีวิตสมัยใหม่และพื้นที่เกษตรกรรมรอบบริเวณ จึงนําความร่วมสมัยมาใช้ในการออกแบบบ้าน ทําให้บ้านมีบรรยากาศของบ้านสวน มีความสงบร่มรื่น ลักษณะทางสถาปัตยกรรมมีความกลมกลืนกับสภาพแวดล้อมที่ส่งเสริมอัตลักษณ์ไทยรวมถึงการออกแบบพื้นที่ใช้สอยที่เหมาะสมต่อผู้สูงอายุ บ้านจึงเป็นบ้านที่อยู่สบายสําหรับทุกคนที่อยู่อาศัยร่วมกัน

The 2026 International Exhibition: Health X Environmental Sustainability, The Nanhua Foundation Day and the 30th Anniversary Celebrations, 27 March 2026
"Phayao Vista"
This vista was an urban landscape that acted as the gateway to Phayao city center. The golden pagoda of Sri Chom Rueang Temple stands out as a landmark for the area, featuring architectural characteristics of the Tai Yai (Shan) people in the past. It was created to enhance a sense of place, order, and aesthetic appeal in urban design. It helped define Phayao as a contemporary city and created a memorable experience.

International of Art, Design and Architecture Exhibition 2025

The ADA Exhibition was organized by the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin. The exhibition was held at BTU Gallery, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Bangkokthonburi University, Thailand, from 19–26 September 2025.
Architecture students participated in presenting the work “Water Hyacinth Parametric Chair”, with the following contributors:
1. Karaket Rodsakul (นางสาวการะเกด รอดสกุล)
2. Yanasorn Phusomsri (นางสาวญาณศรณ์ ภูสมศรี)
3. Lakkana Phongphichetchai (นางสาวลักขณา พงศ์พิเชฐไชย)
4. Netnarin Kanthamuen (นางสาวเนตรนรินทร์ กันทะหมื่น)
The design concept was derived from the shape of water hyacinth in Phayao lake with parametric design. According to the water hyacinth benefits, they served as a natural water purifier, helped control erosion, and provided habitat for aquatic life. Furthermore, the water hyacinth handicrafts were the sustainable products of Phayao city.

"Phisitkun ancient house renovation: Bathroom and kitchen"

Phisitkun House was the residence of Luang Phisitkaiyakorn, a wealthy merchant of Phayao who immigrated from China and established a liquor distillery business in the area around Kwan Phayao. The house was designed and constructed by Chinese builders from Shanghai, China. It was the first half-concrete, half-wooden residence in Phayao. The ground floor was built of reinforced concrete, while the upper floor was constructed of golden teak wood. Its roof combined a hip and gable form, covered with kite-shaped cement tiles.

The design concept was inspired by the industrial colonial style, drawing on the ancient house’s colonial influence and the house owner’s lifestyle. Apart from living, this house is open for event space and business meetings. Therefore, the house renovation was essential. The renovated area was the bathrooms and the kitchen on the second floor, which served the house’s main hall.
