⭐ Why is it important?

✅ Safety from boats
In areas with boat traffic, an SMB makes you visible to surface boats and avoids the risk of being hit. Many accidents happen when divers surface far from the boat or in unexpected places.

✅ Easier to locate you
The dive boat or support team can see exactly where you’re coming up and pick you up quickly, even if you drift far away from the planned exit point.
