🇹🇭🇸🇪 #งามสมบรมราชินี Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana wore a traditional Thai costume known as the “Chut Thai Dusit” (ชุดไทยดุสิต), together with a belt buckle that is a hereditary heirloom of the Chakri Dynasty, while attending a State Banquet at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, graciously hosted by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden in honour of foreign heads of state and members of royal families who had travelled to participate in the celebrations of His Majesty’s 80th Birthday.

The “Chut Thai Dusit” is one of the eight traditional Thai costumes designed by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother. It later came to be known as the “Royal Thai Dress” (Chut Thai Phra Ratcha Niyom / ชุดไทยพระราชนิยม) and has gained widespread popularity among the public. Today, it is widely regarded as the national dress of Thailand.
