✨ 🇹🇭 Thailand’s Royal Barge Procession returns to Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River on 6 November 2026, with rehearsals taking place from 17 August to 28 October 2026.

Visitors are invited to witness one of Thailand’s most treasured royal traditions, featuring 52 royal barges and 2,200 Royal Thai Navy personnel in a spectacular display of heritage, precision, and grace.

[ TH ] 🇹🇭 The Royal Thai Navy has announced the rehearsal schedule

✨ For the Royal Barge Procession ahead of the Royal Kathin Ceremony on November 6, 2026 when 'His Majesty the King' will travel by royal barge to present Royal Kathin robes during the annual Buddhist merit-making ceremony. The ceremony is being held on the auspicious occasion of the royal celebration of 'Her Majesty the Queen's 48th' birthday on June 3.

Preliminary rehearsals are scheduled on 10 dates from Aug. 17 to Oct. 15, 2026 followed by full dress rehearsals on Oct. 21 and Oct. 28. 2026 The public will be able to view the rehearsals along both banks of the 'Chao Phraya River' between 'Krung Thon Bridge' and 'Wat Arun' Ratchawararam.

The Royal Thai Barge Procession will feature 52 ceremonial barges and 2,200 Royal Thai Navy personnel. The formation will span 1,280 meters in length and 90 meters in width, with the barges arranged in five columns across three lines. The Navy said preparations are underway to ensure the procession is conducted with dignity, precision, and elegance while preserving one of Thailand's most treasured royal traditions.
