📢🌿 ค้นพบชนิดใหม่ของโลก! “ต้นเฉลิมพระเกียรติ” จากถ้ำทะลุ สตูล 🌿📢

วันนี้เรามีข่าวดีของวงการพฤกษศาสตร์ไทย 🇹🇭
นักวิจัยไทยจาก มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และเครือข่ายร่วมทีม
ได้ค้นพบ พืชชนิดใหม่ของโลก ในพื้นที่ Satun UNESCO Global Geopark
บริเวณ ถ้ำทะลุ อำเภอละงู จังหวัดสตูล 🌎🌱

🌸 ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์: Orophea chalermprakiat
🌿 วงศ์: Annonaceae
📚 ได้รับการตีพิมพ์อย่างเป็นทางการในวารสารวิชาการระดับนานาชาติ

ชื่อ “chalermprakiat” ตั้งขึ้นเพื่อ เฉลิมพระเกียรติในวโรกาสสำคัญ
และเป็นหลักฐานชัดเจนว่าพื้นที่คาร์สต์ของไทยไม่เพียงสวยงาม
แต่ยังเป็นแหล่งความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพที่มีค่าระดับโลก 🌏💚

🔎 สิ่งสำคัญคือ
📌 เป็นชนิดที่พบ เฉพาะในถ้ำทะลุ / สตูล
📌 ยังพบไม่มากในธรรมชาติ
📌 ต้องร่วมกันอนุรักษ์ไม่ให้สูญหายจากโลกใบนี้ 🌼

ยูเนสโก รับรอง “เทศบาลเมืองตาก ระยอง สตูล” เป็นสมาชิกเครือข่ายเมืองแห่งการเรียนรู้ ปี 2025
องค์การยูเนสโกประกาศรับรอง เทศบาลเมืองตาก จังหวัดระยอง และจังหวัดสตูล เป็นสมาชิกใหม่ของเครือข่ายเมืองแห่งการเรียนรู้ขององค์การยูเนสโก ร่วมกับอีก 72 เมืองจาก 46 ประเทศทั่วโลก สะท้อนความก้าวหน้าของไทยในการขับเคลื่อนนโยบายการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต และการยกระดับการเรียนรู้ให้ตอบโจทย์การเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคมในศตวรรษที่ 21
จุดเด่นของทั้ง 3 เมือง ได้แก่
- เทศบาลเมืองตาก : มุ่งพัฒนา “เมืองแห่งโอกาส” ผ่านการจัดการศึกษาตลอดชีวิตสำหรับประชากรในเขตเมืองและพื้นที่ชายแดน
- ระยอง : ขับเคลื่อนการเรียนรู้ร่วมกับภาคอุตสาหกรรม เทคโนโลยี และทรัพยากรท้องถิ่น เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมแรงงานในเขต EEC
- สตูล : ส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้บนฐานมรดกทางธรรมชาติและวัฒนธรรม พร้อมพัฒนาทักษะด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม การท่องเที่ยว และอาชีพของชุมชน
ปัจจุบันไทยมีเมืองที่เป็นสมาชิกเครือข่ายรวม 13 เมือง ซึ่งการเข้าร่วมเครือข่ายของยูเนสโกจะช่วยให้ไทยสามารถเข้าถึงองค์ความรู้ แนวปฏิบัติ และนวัตกรรมร่วมกับเครือข่ายนานาชาติจากเมืองชั้นนำทั่วโลก เสริมพลังการขับเคลื่อนนโยบายการเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต และผลักดันเมืองไทยสู่เมืองแห่งการเรียนรู้ในระดับสากลอย่างยั่งยืน

Dr. Stephen Kershaw Gives Special Lecture on “ ” to the Thung Wa Community

In Thung Wa District, Province, Dr. Stephen Kershaw, an internationally recognized geologist from Brunel University London, delivered a special lecture to the local community on the topic “Stromatolites: Ancient Life Evidence and Significance in Satun.”

The lecture highlighted that stromatolites are layered sedimentary structures created by microorganisms hundreds of millions of years ago, representing some of Earth’s earliest life forms. They are also one of the most important geological features of the Global .
The session greatly enhanced community understanding of local geodiversity and strengthened awareness of the need to conserve these valuable natural heritage sites.

The Satun UNESCO Global Geopark, in collaboration with the Satun Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment, the Khorat UNESCO Global Geopark, the Department of Mineral Resources, government agencies, and national and international academic and research institutions, is organizing “The 4th International Conference on Palaeontology of Southeast Asia” under the theme “Palaeontology for Sustainable Development.”
The conference, scheduled for 27-29 November 2025
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all professors, researchers, and international scholars who have traveled to attend this conference despite the severe flooding in the lower southern region, which has posed significant challenges to transportation.

🌍 WORLD SOIL DAY – 5 December 2025

The Global Geoparks Network invites all UNESCO Global Geoparks to celebrate World Soil Day on December 5th, a key moment to highlight the vital role of soil as a foundation of natural systems and a cornerstone of human well-being.

Soil is a precious but often overlooked natural resource. It sustains rural life, drives agricultural productivity, and supports ecological balance. As the basis for food, feed, and fiber production, soil also underpins countless essential ecosystem services. Yet it remains a non-renewable resource under increasing threat from degradation and contamination. Its protection is therefore fundamental for global food security and a sustainable future.

UNESCO Global Geoparks serve as exceptional territories for promoting soil conservation, environmental education, and the wise management of natural resources. The Global Geoparks Network encourages all Geoparks worldwide to take part in the celebration of World Soil Day 2025, raising awareness of the importance of healthy soils for ecosystems, communities, and life itself.

The GGN supports the 2025–2034 Decade of Soil Sciences for Sustainable Development, a global initiative aimed at advancing scientific knowledge, promoting sustainable soil management, and strengthening society’s understanding of soil’s critical role in achieving the SDGs. Through education, research, and community engagement, this Decade seeks to inspire collective action to safeguard soils for future generations. 🌱🌏
