วันที่ 3 ของทริป เริ่มต้นด้วยการเช็กเอาต์จาก Yufuin Onsen Ryokan Jinnouchi แล้วขับรถมุ่งหน้าไปยัง จังหวัดคุมาโมโตะ ระหว่างทางเราผ่านวิวที่สวยมากที่
📍 A*okuju National Park
– จุดชมวิว Chojabaru อากาศเย็นสบาย วิวสวยงามสุดๆ ขับผ่านธรรมชาติแล้วรู้สึกสดชื่นไปทั้งวัน
วันนี้เราตั้งใจเที่ยวหลายจุด เลยฝากท้องไว้กับร้านสะดวกซื้อ 7-Eleven และ Lawson อาหารอร่อยและสะดวกมาก 🍙🍢
สถานที่แรกที่เราแวะคือ
🌿 Tadewara Wetlands
พื้นที่ชุ่มน้ำที่อยู่ใกล้เทือกเขา Kuju เป็นแหล่งธรรมชาติที่ได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียน Ramsar เพราะระบบนิเวศที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ มีพืชพรรณหายากและสัตว์ป่าให้ชม เส้นทางเดินเหมาะกับทุกวัย บรรยากาศเงียบสงบมาก
จากนั้นเราขับไปต่อที่
🌋 Mt. A*o - ปล่องภูเขาไฟ Nakadake
เป็นหนึ่งในปล่องภูเขาไฟที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก เส้นผ่านศูนย์กลาง 600 เมตร ลึก 130 เมตร กลิ่นกำมะถันและควันขาวที่ลอยออกมาตลอดเวลาทำให้รู้สึกถึงพลังของธรรมชาติ แม้บางครั้งจะไม่สามารถเข้าใกล้ได้เนื่องจากกิจกรรมของภูเขาไฟ
แวะชม
🏛️ A*o Volcano Museum – พิพิธภัณฑ์ภูเขาไฟอาโสะที่จัดแสดงเรื่องราวกว่า 30,000 ปีอย่างน่าสนใจ
🌾 Kusasenri – ทุ่งหญ้าสีเขียวสุดลูกหูลูกตา มีม้ากินหญ้าและบ่อน้ำกลางธรรมชาติ ให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนหลุดไปในโลกแฟนตาซี
ระหว่างทางเราก็ซื้อข้าวกล่องจาก 7-Eleven มาทานในรถแบบง่ายๆ
และเราก็มาถึงที่พักคืนนี้
🏨 Ark Hotel Kumamoto Castle
โรงแรมอยู่ใกล้ตัวเมือง สะดวกสบาย มีที่จอดรถแบบลิฟต์ซ้อนชั้น ค่าจอดคืนละ 900 เยน (2 คืน 1,800 เยน)
จบวันที่สามด้วยบรรยากาศดีๆ ที่ เมืองคุมาโมโตะ เต็มไปด้วยความทรงจำแสนพิเศษ ❤️
Japan Road Trip – Day 3: Yufuin → Kumamoto 🌋🏛️🌿
We began our Day 3 adventure by checking out from Yufuin Onsen Ryokan Jinnouchi, leaving behind its serene hot spring charm and setting our GPS toward Kumamoto Prefecture. The drive itself was already a highlight — cruising through the countryside and arriving at a breathtaking viewpoint:
📍 A*okuju National Park - Chojabaru (Cyojabaru)
The fresh air, panoramic landscapes, and cool mountain breeze were absolutely revitalizing.
Since today’s itinerary was packed, we kept it simple for meals — grabbing quick and tasty bites from 7-Eleven and Lawson convenience stores along the way. 🍙🍢🍵
Our first main stop:
🌿 Tadewara Wetlands
Nestled near the Kuju mountain range, this marshland is a true ecological treasure. It’s peaceful, pristine, and rich in unique flora and fauna — no surprise it’s a Ramsar-protected site since 2005. The gentle trails around the wetlands made it a great place to walk, breathe, and take photos without rush.
From there, we drove toward the legendary:
🌋 Mt. A*o - Nakadake Crater
Standing before this massive active volcano was a jaw-dropping moment. With a 4 km circumference and white smoke constantly rising, Mt. Nakadake reminded us of the power of nature. Although entry depends on volcanic activity, the views even from a distance were incredible.
We also stopped by:
🏛️ A*o Volcano Museum – a fascinating spot to learn about the volcano's 30,000-year history through interactive exhibits.
🌾 Kusasenri Grassland – endless green fields, calm ponds, and grazing horses. It looked like a dreamland at the foot of the mountain.
Quick car-side dinner again from 7-Eleven (conbini meals never disappoint 🚗🍱) and we finally reached our stay for the night:
🏨 Ark Hotel Kumamoto Castle
Spacious, comfortable, and located near the heart of Kumamoto. The parking fee was 900 JPY/night (we paid 1,800 JPY for 2 nights), using a smart stacking system for cars.
The day ended with a peaceful night under the Kumamoto sky – tired, but very happy.
