Tunisian cuisine is full of colors, spices, and warmth 🇹🇳✨

From crispy brik and spicy salade méchouia to couscous, tajine, and grilled meats, every dish has a story to tell.

It’s a mix of Mediterranean flavors, Berber roots, and a touch of the desert.

Loved by locals and visitors from all over the world, Tunisian food is more than a meal, it’s a way to share joy, culture, and connection 🌍❤️

Day 2 — Through the Heart of the South 🇹🇳

Our journey continues deep into Southern Tunisia — a land where every stone carries a story, and every village keeps the spirit of tradition alive. ✨

We started the morning in Matmata, famous for its troglodyte houses 🏠 — underground homes carved into the soft limestone. These unique dwellings were built to protect families from the desert heat and became world-famous after appearing in Star Wars: A New Hope.
There, we witnessed how locals still grind grain by hand 🌾 and shared a simple tasting of mountain honey and traditional bread 🍯 — a true moment of authenticity.

On the way south, we stopped in Toujane, a Berber village perched on the red hills 🏜️ — quiet, peaceful, and known for its handmade wool carpets.

At midday, we reached Beni Khedache and enjoyed a warm homemade lunch at 🍲 — traditional Tunisian dishes served with local hospitality and laughter.

In the afternoon, we explored , an ancient granary once used to store food for desert caravans — and another Star Wars filming site. 🌌
There, we tasted mahchi el ksour, a sweet local pastry filled with dates and nuts 🍪 — a delicious link between past and present.

Our day ended in .debbab , where we were welcomed for a magical evening under the stars 🌙.
Local music, traditional dishes, and the warmth of Tunisian hospitality made it an unforgettable night.

Every stop tells a story — of history, craftsmanship, and connection.
