We specialize in privately guided tours for solo & individual travellers, couples, families and small groups throughout all of Tunisia - including foreign residents in Tunisia. We enjoy working with travellers who wish to see more of Tunisia, to learn about the cultures, lifestyle, history and archaeology: to go to off-the-beaten-track places, stay in small charming B&B’s, see the rich archaeological sites of the interior, discover the natural beauty of the country, participate in agritourism activities, visit wonderful villages, meet the people - and provide more meaningful and memorable experiences. We are always scouting out new places in our free time, and are always looking for new experiences to share. We also work with local associations & NGO’s to promote community & environmental projects , and with individual traditional artisans. Yellow Numidian Marble was used extensively for the columns and pavement of Hadrian's in Rome. This unusual marble with yellow, orange and pink hues, can be found throughout the Roman Empire, and was a symbol of prestige. It was quarried from (ancient ) here in , via the port of .

Yvette Haakmeester: Originally from Canada and with an MA in Classical Archaeology, she has over 20 years of experiences as a Professional Tour Guide, having designed and lead Archaeological & Cultural tours throughout the Ancient Mediterranean, including Turkey (West & East), Greece, Italy & Sicily, Croatia, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Morocco, Egypt, Libya - and of course, Tunisia. She has lived in Turkey for many years, Greece and Tunisia since 2008. Yvette conceived the philosophy of Tunisian Journeys in 2011, having been a single female traveller for many years - and from reflecting on her most memorable travel experiences and of those who travelled with her in various countries.
We work together with a collaboration of excellent, professionally licensed tour guides, drivers and small agencies in providing the best cultural, archaeological experiences of Tunisia.
