Did you know that Tunisia houses some of the worlds largest collections of ancient Roman mosaics? They are quite breathtaking and so intricate. Most tourists will see them inside one of the museums (the Bardo museum in Tunis or the El Jem archeological museum), but you will most likely be able to see them if you visit any of the archeological sites around the country.

Unlike in the museum where they all hang on the walls, the original mosaics were actually on the floor - like how we would use carpets today.
