أشرف رئيس الجمهورية الباجي قايد السبسي القائد الأعلى للقوات المسلحة، في الذكرى ال62 لانبعاث الجيش الوطني وستّينيّة انبعاث جيش البحر، على موكب رفع العلم الوطني على متن خافرة أعالي البحار "سيفاكس" والجوّالة "كركوان" ودخولهما الخدمة الفعليّة، يوم الاثنين 25 جوان 2018 بميناء حلق الوادي.

وتابع رئيس الجمهورية عرضا حركيًّا لتشكيلة من الوحدات البحرية جسّمت عددا من العمليات البحرية للوحدات العائمة، بالاشتراك مع وحدات من جيشي البرّ والجوّ، تمّ فيها استغلال آخر مقتنيات الجيش الوطني الهادفة لتطوير قدراته العمليّاتيّة واللوجستيّة، في ضوء ما يشهده الوضع الإقليمي والدولي من مخاطر وتهديدات أمنية واقتصادية وبيئية.

واستعرض وزير الدفاع الوطني عبد الكريم الزبيدي في كلمة ألقاها بالمناسبة أهمّ الاقتناءات الثقيلة لجيشنا الوطني لسنتي 2017 و2018، ومن أهمّها أربعة خافرات تتميز بقدرتها على المداومة بأعالي البحار، واستقبال المروحيات، والاضطلاع بمهام البحث والإنقاذ والإغاثة وتنفيذ عمليات زيارة وتفتيش السفن المشبوهة. كما تعزز أسطول جيش البحر بجوّالتين "كركوان" و"أوتيك"، تمّ انجازهما في إطار الشراكة مع القطاع الخاص وبقدرات مدنيّة وعسكرية تونسيّة. كذلك وفِي إطار دعم أسطول جيش الطيران، تمّ استكمال استلام المروحيات المتعدّدة الوظائف UH 60، المجهزة بمنظومات عملياتية، وتجهيزات خصوصية، بما فيها البحث والإنقاذ بالليل والنهار. كما تمّ دعم قدرات جيش البرّ سنة 2017، باقتناء 200 شاحنة جند متوسطة الحجم، و200 شاحنة أخرى من الحجم الكبير، إضافة إلى 30 عربة قتالية متوسطة الحجم مصفحة ومضادة للألغام.
