2 or 3 Days tour to Cappadocia from Antalya.
The 1st Day – After leaving the hotel in the morning, we will hit the road towards Konya while reaching an elevation of 1,825 meters in the Ta**us mountains. Along with reaching Konya, one of our important visits will be to the Mevlana museum. The Mevlana museum – founded in the 13th century as a dervish convent – was the center for science, philosophy and religion. At the same time, along with Mevlana’s descendants and other important people from that time having been buried there, our visitation program includes the kitchen, library, the place where a dervish undergoes suffering, the prayer room and the place where the dervish whirls. In the evening, we will settle into the Hotel in the Cappadocia region where we will stay for the next 2 nights.
The 2nd Day – The Mount Hasan and the Erciyes mountains are another natural wonder being made from eruptions millions of years ago. After the ash and lava cooled, rain and wind erosion caused a different natural structure giving an unbelievable view. We will visit the Kaymakli underground city which is one of the most interesting structures of the region. While there was an attack on the region during its time, the Kaymakli city is one example of how people hid and for months were able to provide for their own needs. While seeing the Goreme open-air museum, which remins from the Christian period, we will see a thousand years worth of murals made by iconic artists. It is a place with the most interesting formations in the Paşabağı region. These formations known as the fairy chimneys were made by Tuff and Basaltic deposits. While going to the Uçhisar fortress, we will certainly take a Photograph break as there will be a bird’s-eye view of the Göreme valley. We will visit the Uçhisar fortress, a soldier barracks from this time because of its high location. The Avanos pottery will testify of thousands of years of history.
We will have the opportunity to make a work of art using tools made by skilled hands in the pottery. After returning to our hotel, we will have the opportunity to have an unforgettable, enjoyable time at the Kaya Restaurant special to the Capadocia region (Optional).
The 3rd Day – We will leave our hotel in the morning and say goodbye to the Cappadocia region. We will visit the Sultanhani Caravanserai on our trip back. It is the biggest and most beautiful of the Seljuk caravanserais. It was made by Kayqubad I in the year 1229, being repaired and widened by the architect Muhammed bin Havlan el-Dimişki after a fire in 1278. It was made based on a plan with the dimensions of 50×110 m. It has two sections, one for the summer and the other for the winter. The wooden door is famous for its one-of-a-kind ornamentation. After this visit, we will head to our hotel while having breaks or photograph stops when we need to while traveling through the Ta**us mountains.
