Anyone can find a nice bay. Finding one that faces west, sits sheltered, and stays quiet at 20:00 is the skill.

Çökertme, where the village lights come on as the sun drops. Kissebükü, with ancient ruins right on the shoreline. Akyarlar, wide open to the western horizon. Kargıcak, almost always empty even in August. Pabuç Burnu, where there are no lights at all and the stars take over.

Timing matters as much as the place. We anchor 90 minutes before sunset, so the boat is settled and dinner has started while the light is still good. In July the sun goes down around 20:30.

Ask us to build a route around the sunsets rather than the swims.

People imagine a charter day and get it wrong in both directions. Too luxurious, or too boring. ⚓

08:00 breakfast on deck, still at anchor.
09:30 up anchor, move to the next bay.
11:00 anchor, swim, paddleboard.
13:00 lunch on board, then the long afternoon.
17:00 second bay, or a walk ashore.
19:00 anchor for the night, sunset over the water.
20:30 dinner as the light goes.
23:00 deck, stars, complete quiet.

The part guests love most is that none of it is fixed. If the bay is good, you stay. The route is a suggestion, the captain adjusts it daily, and the weather has the final say.

Kos sits 40 minutes from Bodrum. The sea is not the slow part. The paperwork is. 🇬🇷

You need valid passports for everyone on board, a Schengen visa where your nationality requires one, and transit log and clearance documents for the boat. Budget half a day to clear out of Türkiye and half a day to clear back in.

Our honest take: on a one-week charter, stay in Turkish waters. The bays are better, the water is quieter, and you spend the time swimming instead of queueing at a harbour office. From ten days the crossing starts to make sense.

We handle the clearance either way, as a licensed agency, TÜRSAB 17085. Tell us your dates and we will say whether it is worth it.

The best bays on this coast have no road to them. That is exactly why they are still good. 🚤

Five we go back to every season:

1️⃣ Aquarium Bay — the clearest water in the region 🤿
2️⃣ Orak Island — turquoise shallows under dramatic cliffs 🌊
3️⃣ German Bay — deep, silent, completely sheltered 🌿
4️⃣ Pabuç Burnu — untouched shoreline, no lights at all ✨
5️⃣ Black Island — thermal springs and quiet coves ♨️

One tip changes all of them. Most fill with day boats by 11:00. Arrive at 08:00 and you get two hours to yourself. Staying overnight is the real prize, because the day boats all leave by five.

One group per day. The boat does not go out with anyone else while you have it.

You choose the route in the morning with the captain: two bays with swimming stops, or one bay all day. Bodrum and the coves around it.

Lunch is included. A hot main of meatballs, chicken or fish with rice or pasta and salad, plus fruit, water, soft drinks, tea and coffee through the day.

We match the boat to your group, gulet or motor yacht depending on how many of you there are, and confirm availability the same day you send your date.

Birthdays, anniversaries and proposals are the most common reason people book this. Tell us two weeks ahead and the setup is waiting when you step on board.

Same coastline, three different holidays.

Bodrum is the lively one. Best flight connections, a real town behind the marina, and Kos 40 minutes away.

Göcek is the sheltered one. Flat water, twelve islands within a morning, and the reason families keep coming back.

Marmaris is the sailor’s one. Big bays, real wind, and the Datça peninsula beyond it.

The ten-second version: want energy, start in Bodrum. Travelling with children, go to Göcek. Want to sail rather than motor, choose Marmaris.

How many cabins do we need? It is the question we get most, and the answer is not the one people expect.

Count bathrooms, not beds. Eight guests sharing two bathrooms will remember that long after they have forgotten the view.

Two to four of you: a sailboat or small catamaran, two cabins, plenty of room.
Five to eight: the comfortable middle. A catamaran or mid-size gulet with four cabins.
Nine to sixteen: gulet territory, six to eight cabins and deck space that works.

Two boats, same length, double the price.

Five things move a charter quote. You control four of them.

1. Season. July and August are peak. Move one week either side and the number changes.
2. Length. Cost climbs faster than size. Match the boat to the group, not to the photo.
3. Crew. Captain only, captain and deckhand, or full crew with a chef.
4. Extras. Fuel, port fees, food and water toys usually sit outside the headline price.
5. Timing. The good boats in peak weeks go months ahead.

We will tell you where your budget actually lands, and where paying more improves the week rather than the brochure.
