The person presenting the certificates is our founder and guide, Halis Çeven — a man whose life has been deeply connected with Mount Ararat, who has spent decades on its trails, stood on countless summits, and shared the mountain with generations of climbers from around the world.

For us, Halis Çeven is much more than a founder and guide. He is the symbol of a tradition, a dedication, and a legacy that has been carried forward for four generations.

Since 1966, Halis Çeven has devoted his life to Mount Ararat. Through the years, he has guided countless climbers, shared unforgettable moments with them, overcome difficult conditions, and built friendships that have lasted far beyond the mountain.

For Halis Çeven, Mount Ararat has never been simply a 5,137-meter summit to reach. It is a mountain he knows by heart — its trails, its challenges, its silence, its people, and its spirit.

At the foot of Mount Ararat, there are two special members of the Halis Çeven Base Camp who have become part of our mountain family: Çomo and Bigır. 🐾

They welcome our guests, share the peaceful moments around camp, and sometimes accompany climbers along the mountain trails. Their presence brings warmth, joy, and a little extra spirit to life at base camp.

Among the wild landscapes and challenging conditions of Ararat, Çomo and Bigır remind us that the most beautiful moments are often the simplest ones — a friendly look, a wagging tail, and a loyal companion waiting at camp.

For us, they are more than just dogs. They are part of the Ararat family. ❤️🐾
