Yalova Thermal Springs (Therapy & Cures)
Sail by ferry for 45 minutes from Eskihisar to Yalova where Thermal Hot Springs is in the class of mixed thermomineral waters with calcium, sulphate and fluorine. Its mineralization is about 1500 mg/L. It is colorless, clear and mildly sweet. In 1911, Yalova Thermal Hot Springs won the prize of ‘Best Hot Spring With Beneficial Water’ in a competition held in Rome.
The bath cure of Yalova Thermal Hot Springs is especially good for rheumatic diseases. It’s been reported by Istanbul Universty main branch of medical ecology and hydraclimatology that this water helps the treatment of rheumatic diseases and arthiritis, besides raising the pain threshold. This water can also be used as drinking cure for the preventation of teeth decays, functional stomach and intestine diseases such as constipation and indolance of gall bladder.
Sudüşen Waterfall

Itinerary

The excursion to the Black sea starts with a hotel pick up and drive through Europe to Asia by the second Bosphorus Bridge, all the way to Sile.

Sile has been a fishing village here since 700BC and a lighthouse since the Ottoman period. Sile is a beach resort popular with people who want a resort atmosphere without having to go to the expense of travelling to the Mediterranean Sea. 150 years old Sile lighthouse is the largest one in Turkey ad second largest in the World, a definite must be seen.

Once we left Sile back and head to Agva, we pass through the traditional Black Sea villages where you feel yourself far away from the crowd of Istanbul. The picturesque way along these villages reaches soon to Agva which means “the land between two rivers.”

Agva is another important spot of the Black Sea coastline, a World paradise in which nature shows all its talents. Upon arrival we will have a boat ride down the Goksu River while your lunch is going to be prepared on a nice river side restaurant. After the lunch you may either relax along the river of freshen up on one of the most exciting beach of whole Turkey where the pine trees meet crystal clear water of the Black Sea. It’s time to forget yourself, it’s time to get lost in nature.

You will have a chance to see a real “Sile Bezi” collection on our way to Istanbul before the twilight fell.

Departure from European side and accross the Bosphorus by the first bridge. Drive along the Asian side through Kadıköy all the way to Bostancı by seeing the differnt face of Istanbul (The Asian side is mostly residential area and you can clearly see the difference comparing to the European part).

Once we reach to Bostancı, you’ll have a chance to see one of the most beatiful district of Istanbul. After having little time in Bostancı, embark the boat going to Princes’ Islands. Disembark at Büyükada which is the largest and the most famous of this Islands chain. There are several small hotels where people stay for the weekend. Some of the historical buildings are Aya Yorgi Church and Monastery from 6th century, Ayios Dimitrios Church, Hristos Church and Monastery and enjoy the lunch in a nice seaside restaurant. After a small tour in the town centre and listening to the history of this lovely island, you’ll have free time to enjoy the beautiful island shores by renting a phaeton (Hors drawn carriage) or bicycle until the departure time. As there is no car aloud in the island, this promenade would be an unforgettable memory for you.

On the way back we’re going to catch a cruise which is going to Heybeli, Burgaz and Kinali Island before reaching Kabatas port on the European side.

Description

Begin the day by cruising across the Marmara Sea towards the Princes’ chain of islands on the Maritime Lines ferry.



Disembark at Buyukada, now a popular summer resort with sandy beaches and pinewood scenery. This, the largest of the Princes’ Islands, was once the pleasure escape of the Byzantine princes.



Tour of the front facade of the island by horse-drawn carriage before enjoying a fish lunch at one of the best restaurants on the island. You’ll have plenty of free time for leisure and shopping before our evening return back to Istanbul.

This is an extraordinary complex of buildings that extends over one of Istanbul‘s seven hills in a splendid position.

The palace was a setting for state occasions and royal entertainments and is a major tourist attraction today, containing the most holy relics of the Muslim world such as the prophet Muhammed’s cloak and sword. Topkapı Palace is among those monuments belonging to the “Historical Areas of Istanbul“, which became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985, and is described in Criterion iv as “the best example of ensembles of palaces of the Ottoman period.

Little Hagia Sophia Mosque
Little Hagia Sophia Mosque stands Istanbul‘s oldest surviving Byzantine monument. It was constructed under the emperor Justinian near the southern city walls on the shores of the Sea of Marmara in a.d. 527–536. In 1504, the building was converted into a mosque.

It’s away from crowds, cosy and very quiet. You can rest, observe and perceive the smallest of the structure and imagine the huge version of St. Sophia. It has a lovely garden with a cute art cafe where you can rest and enjoy the atmosphere. You will love visiting this structure, and travel through time to the Byzantine period and get lost in your thoughts.

Itinerary

We depart by ferry early in the morning to Yalova, enjoying lovely countryside view. Then drive to Bursa city which contains a rich and underrated historical legacy. We visit to Ulucami (Grand Mosque), the Green Mosque and the Green Mausoleum (from outside), the old Silk Market in the Covered Bazaar. After lunch at a very nice ‘Kebap‘ Restaurant, we visit the covered Bazaar and Old Silk Market. Hagia Sophia

From the Golden Age of Byzantine, this once Christian church is one of the the most extraordinary buildings in the history of architecture. It played a very important role in the Byzantine Empire and later as a mosque in the Ottoman Empire. The word “Hagia” in Greek means “Divine” and “Sophia” means “Wisdom“. “Divine Wisdom” is one of the attributes of Jesus Christ and this church is devoted to his divine wisdom.

Blue Mosque

The Blue Mosque is one of the most prominent landmarks of Istanbul, especially when viewed from the First Hill or from the Asian shore of the Sea of Marmara. It is very impressive with its beautiful domes and semidomes, nice courtyards and six slender minarets.

Hippodrome and Obelisks

The square in front of the Blue Mosque covers the site of the ancient “Hippodrome“, one of the most famous areas in Byzantine.

Grand Covered Bazaar

The oldest and the largest covered market place in the world is situated in the center of the city. After visiting the Grand Bazaar, there will be optional shopping opportunity before having lunch at our restaurant.

Topkapi Palace

Topkapi Palace was more than just the private residence of the Sultan and his court. It was the seat of the supreme executive and judiciary council, the Divan and the training school.
