Celebrating Victory Day: A Turning Point in Türkiye's History

Today, Türkiye commemorates Victory Day (Zafer Bayramı), a symbol of national pride and resilience. On August 30, 1922, the Battle of Dumlupınar marked a decisive victory in the Turkish War of Independence, paving the way for the modern Republic of Türkiye.

Led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, this victory was more than a military triumph; it was the dawn of a new era, affirming Türkiye's sovereignty and shaping its future. From vibrant parades to heartfelt ceremonies, Türkiye honors the spirit of unity and the courage of those who fought for freedom.

Victory Day isn’t just a date—it’s a reminder of the power of perseverance and the enduring legacy of independence.
