Founded in 2011, Bahçeşehir University Game Lab (BUG) has become the center of the İstanbul game developer community. BUG Lab organized many events like boot camps, hackathons, workshops, etc. focusing on education, communication, and R&D issues of the emerging game scene. Hosting events like Global Game Jam as the main İstanbul site enabled BUG Lab to bridge the game developer community with indu

stry and academia. With this experience and network, BUG Lab evolved into a game design education and production hub. Still, BUG Lab is the one and only game development hub not just in Turkey but among the region with its community-based approach and professional education options such as Game Design BA and MA programs.

BUG Spring Jam 2026 is starting today! 🥳 Once again BAU undergrad and master game design students will come together and make their first prototypes for their final project during this 48-hour game dev marathon 😎

LUNA workshops rock on! We started March with the visit of our friends, Jules Pommier and Lorenzo Pagano, from and with whom we’re collaborating on our Erasmus+ Project “European Game Science Lab” 🥳 The first day of the workshop was for the instructors, Güven Çatak and Ertuğrul Süngü. And then, for the second and third, we tested the LUNA (LudaNarrative) framework with students from the Game Studio and Tabletop Game Design classes. We also had meetings with our instructor, Nazım Adaklı, for the AI stage of the project. More to come! 🙃

Organized by Mobidictum, the event brought together 500+ students, young developers and game studios for inspiring talks, networking and career opportunities in the game industry.

As BUG Lab TEKMER, we were proud to join the event as a partner and support this great meeting point between students, academia and the industry.

Last weekend, our director .catak was in Bangkok for the PUBG Mobile Unite 2025 Grand Finals, invited by 😎

Together with met the amazing WOW (World of Wonder) creator mode dev team, gave feedback and talked future collabs 🤘
