Superlit manufactures GRP pipes, couplings and fittings for potable and raw water transmission lines, sewage and irrigation projects, seawater intake and discharge lines as submerged applications and wastewater drainage systems. Custom designed fittings and connection parts, which are critically important components for pipelines, are also being engineered and manufactured inhouse with extensive know-how and experience of professional Superlit engineering teams. As a result of perfect and smooth internal surface, Superlit GRP pipes display minimum hydraulic losses, which leads to lower pumping powers for the required pipeline pressure. With high chemical and corrosion resistance, Superlit GRP Pipes do not require maintenance and pipes are designed with a minimum life time of 50 years. In this factory, Superlit manufactures GRP Pipes both with Continuous Filament Winding and Centrifugal Casting technologies, in full compliance with all national and international standards,

Continuous Filament Winding Process is the GRP Pipe production technology based on the principle of winding glass fiber filaments continuously on a rotating mandrel. The internal and external walls of the pipe are formed by curing of polyester resin with glass fiber filaments and stiffness is increased by feeding silica sand forming the mid-layer. With the reinforcement of polyester with glass fiber filaments, both internal and external surfaces of the pipes become highly resistant to aggressive chemicals and structural corrosion without any need for additional protection. CENTRIFUGAL CASTING PROCESS
Centrifugal Casting Process is the GRP pipe production technology based on the principle of feeding glass fiber, polyester resin and silica sand into a rotating mould through a feeder arm. In this fully automatic and electronically operated process, control of raw material distribution on pipe structural walls, as well as comparison of theoretical and actual raw material consumptions, are performed and reported by the computer. PROJECT DESIGN AND SITE SUPPORT
With the company’s core principle of “ Sustainable Superior Quality in Production and Service”, Superlit established “Project Design and Site Support Department” to assist project design companies, infrastructure contractors, government water authorities and municipalities. Since pipe performance is directly related with the correct application and installation, support of this department is critical for contractors for trouble-free completion of the project. When technical assistance is requested, Superlit engineers start the process with evaluation of project design details, re-check engineering calculations and advise revisions if necessary. After project details are set, Superlit Site Supervisors assist customer teams from factory dispatch to unloading at jobsite, during pipe laying and field testing, up until taking the pipeline into operation. By early 2007, Superlit launched Superlit Academy for training both intercompany staff and customer teams. Theoretical and operational technical training programs are provided at Superlit Technopark Research and Training Center for engineering, field and operation groups. Successful candidates of Academy trainings are rewarded by Academy Certificate which further provides career and profession opportunities for the participants. LABORATORIES AND QUALITY
Believing that maintaining the company’s strong position in the global market is heavily dependent on continuous product improvement, Superlit places special emphasis on its Research and Development activities. With its Quality Management System approved by German TÜV, Superlit strictly applies all quality tests at all stages of production, starting with raw material testing up to final inspection of each manufactured product ready for delivery. Besides 13 national and international certificates including ISO and TSE, Superlit is the only pipe manufacturer which has an internationally accredited TÜRKAK certified laboratory. Superlit manufactures Environment Friendly Products and stands out with its approach to storage and disposal of production wastes. Even though raw materials of GRP pipes, glass fiber and resin, do not contain any harmful ingredients for the environment, all production wastes are analyzed and disposed in full compliance with Waste Disposal Procedures of Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
