This is beautiful Dolmabahçe Palace clock tower in the picture. It’s maden by palace architecture Sarkis Balyan with Neobaroque and Ampir style. Dolmabahçe Palace is a must to see in İstanbul with it’s elegant structure. It was completed in 1853 and succesively Sultan 1. Abdülmecit and his brother Abdülaziz lived in this Ottoman Palace. After republic has been declared, Atatürk used it as presidential residence. Dolmabahçe Palace has an important place in Turkish Republic history in the occasion of being the last place where Atatürk was living before he passed.

is a historical museum in İstanbul. It was built between the years of 532-537 at the old city center in the ancient peninsula of İstanbul by Byzantine Emperor 1st Justinianus as a Patriarch Cathedral. It changed in to a mosque by Fatih Sultan Mehmet after Ottoman has conquered İstanbul in 1453. In 1935, it has been started to be used as a historical museum by decision of Atatürk and council of ministers. Hagia Sophia means “Sacred Wisdom” and rulers had their coronations in Hagia Sophia during the time of East Rome Empire.

It was first mentioned about the rocks which Maiden’s Tower built on at the year of 410 B.C. Byzantines used that tower as a duty station for the ships which enter Bosphorus and leave. Today it is being used as a restaurant since the restoration finished on 2000.
