Istanbul Student Life Istanbul Student Life is the biggest interdisciplinary student associations in Istanbul. Therefore ISL offers help in social and practical integration process.

The main focus of ISL is placed on current exchange and erasmus students, who often face problems in their new environment. This is mainly done through activities in the local sections, which include cultural and social events such as trips to various places within the country, parties ,film nights, buddy group and language projects and international food fests etc...

Aya Yorgi Church (Church of Saint George) is an Orthodox church located in Buyukada. The church has an importance by being one of the two pilgrimage points in Turkey and there are two special days to visit it. The days are 23rd of April and 24th of September. There are many reasons to see the church; fresh island air due to absence of motor vehicles, unique views of Istanbul and Bosphorus and delicious sea foods with Turkish Raki. Also, do not forget to make a wish when you visit Aya Yorgi Church.

Sakıp Sabancı Museum(SSM) is an art museum with various art pieces of many famous artists. It has temporary exhibitions that host and organize a rich collection of Ottoman lines and paintings. The museum is located in the Atlı Pavilion in Emirgan, one of the oldest settlements in the Bosphorus in Istanbul. You can visit SSM on every day between 10.00 to 18.00 except Monday.

The Istanbul Naval Museum is a national naval museum, located at Besiktas district of Istanbul. The museum contains an important collection of military artifacts pertaining to the Ottoman Navy. In the field of maritime, it is Turkey's largest museum, with a great variety of collections. Around 20,000 pieces are present in its collection. The museum is open every day from 9:00 to 17:00 hours except Mondays, New Year's Day and the first day of religious holidays.

ISL House is an international student building with central location at Sisli which is considered as one of the city centers in istanbul. One of the biggest advantages of the location of ISL House is that it has access to main transportation lines such as subway, metrobus (bus rapid transit, that connects both European and Asian sides) and bus. Moreover, you are only one station away from "the heart of Istanbul's nightlife", which is Taksim. It takes five minutes walk to Cevahir shopping mall (one of the biggest malls of Europe) and subway station, eight minutes walk to metrobus and fifteen minutes walk to Besiktas seaside.
ISL House is consist of fully furnished rooms mostly for one person, however there are also bigger shared rooms for two people. Moreover, ISL House has shared two social room (with table football, dart and table tennis, Playstation and TV), one big rooftop terrace, two fully equiped kitchens, seven bathrooms and Traditional Turkish Bath/Hamam in 450 metre squares. Price of the room is ranged by the type of the room. Prices are reasonable with all bills included. The house has high-speed Internet connection (WIFI), cleaning lady service for common areas, central heating, 24/7 hot water and security camera system.
ISL House is good opportunity for social international, Erasmus and Exchange students and those who will stay there, will get an advantage of staying in the same building with ISL Org Co (which is one of the biggest organization companies in Turkey) main office. Moreover, you will get an assistance in every kind of problems regarding your stay in Istanbul.

Beylerbeyi Palace, summer residence of the Ottoman Sultans, is located at Beylerbeyi neighbourhood on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus. The garden is full of different kind of trees, with a great view of the Bosphorus, and two small sea kiosks by the pier which were used by the sultans to have their tea or coffee enjoying the ships and boats passing. The palace is not only for sightseeing, but also for an excellent breakfast with heavenly view. Beylerbeyi Palace is open for visiting everyday except monday between 09.00 to 17.00.
