Traveling back to Puglia from Kefalonia, we stayed a day in Parga rather than take the overnight ferry. It was already pretty crowded in mid-June, but the natural beauty of the place is undeniable.

Another secluded house with an unforgettable, mesmerizing view. We visited Filicudi before the start of the high season, when only one food shop and one restaurant were open on the island. The house was at the end of a path, not accessible by car, and the only sounds were birdsong and the sea. Slow living is the only way of life here.

We have two passions when it comes to travel planning. One should be obvious: we are true believers in the magic of a private Aegean cruise and will always take on their organization enthusiastically. The second passion is more tailored to specific preferences, and that is to seek out uncommon, characterful accommodations in places far removed from mass tourism. If the property creaks with history; if it’s in a community that exists in its own right and not merely for tourists; if it’s quirky or at the end of a dirt track — all the better. We just expanded our catalog of gulets to include six beautiful, very spacious, yet very affordable boats in Greece! 🇬🇷 Based in various ports from Mykonos all the way to Zante and Corfu in the Ionian Sea, they are equipped for big groups and good times! 😎
We are (slowly, cautiously) starting to feel good about this coming summer.. 🤞especially with travel options like this 👀on the horizon!

This summer we didn’t leave Italy, due to the pandemic and the fact that our dog has reached the “old as hell” stage of his life. We miss the Aegean, but being in Italy through this quiet period has been a joy. We visited Venice on maybe the hottest and most humid weekend of the summer, but it was stunning nonetheless — the kind of short-but-sweet (and sweaty) trip where you’re planning your return before you’ve even left.
