WYMLA-Italy and Greece 2023

Day 11- I can’t believe this is our last day. We arrived in Turkey and after a 2 hr ride we arrived at Ephesus. Had a great tour. Then went and watched a Turkish carpet weaving and had Turkish pizza and Apple tea. Then we stopped to try Turkish delights and the freshest peaches I’ve ever had! Back on cruise. Dinner and maybe karaoke tonight. We will disembark around 8 in the morning for our trek back home!

Day 9- Santorini afternoon… I guess I forgot to post once we got back. We were all irritable and exhausted! Santorini was beautiful just as we expected, but the boys are done with walking up the steep inclines each day. (So am I!!!) They dropped us off “almost at the top” and after 20 minutes straight up incline we made it. We had tickets to ride the cable car back down the mountain… apparently all the cruise ships left off at the same time and had the same plan… TWO hours later we arrived at the bottom. can’t wait to rest tomorrow!!
Oh and Shane, Caleb and Oliver had me listening to karaoke til midnight!!

Day 10… not much to tell about today! We had a day of resting on the cruise ship. None of us wanted to walk an hour to the beach. So most of the boys slept in. We met up for lunch around 1:00. Some of us laid out at the pool, read and enjoyed the day. Some hung out in their rooms! Tomorrow we hit Turkey, where we will have NO service.

Last day in Athens, early start with 3 hr trip to Delphi. Stopped for a great lunch at a family run grove and diner. Two hour climb up to top of Delphi and museum, then 3 hr ride back to hotel. Dinner at hotel and packing up. Early night! Tomorrow we head to our cruise ship!!

Parents, just wanted to let y’all know that when we get on the cruise tomorrow, myself and the boys will only be given 1 free hour of data for all 4 days. When we get to each island on excursions, they may be able to text then. I’ll try to remind them when we get to each place.

Our day 6 is still going at 10:15pm. Slept in a little, then site seeing which included the Acropolis Museum and the trek up to the Acropolis. Free time for shopping and lunch. Some great ice cream and then our Greek dinner and dancing!! Do you recognize some of these dancers??

Day 5… short and sweet! Woke up way too early, off to airport, a very tiny, very full plane to Athens. Hour drive to our hotel but it’s beautiful! First thing we did was go to pool and grab some lunch at the cafe. Changed and headed back to center city Athens, for site seeing and dinner! Mousska and Greek Salad for dinner! Great first day in Greece.

Got to hotel and hit the pool for a quick lunch and a little break before heading to Center City of Athens for dinner tonight!
