Lise eğitimini ise 2005-2009 yılları arasında Kızıltepe Atatürk Lisesi'nde tamamladı. Sanat tutkusuyla genç yaşta tanışan Karatay, kalemi eline aldığı günlerden itibaren resim sanatına olan ilgisini sürekli geliştirdi. 2015 yılında Van Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi'nde görsel sanatlar öğretmenliği alanında eğitimini tamamlayan Karatay, sanatını bir misyon haline getirdi. Hello, born in 1989 in the Kızıltepe district of Mardin, Karatay started his education at Dicle and Gökçe schools. He completed his high school education at Kızıltepe Atatürk High School between 2005 and 2009. Introduced to the passion for art at a young age, Karatay continuously developed his interest in the art of painting from the moment he took up the brush. Graduating in visual arts education from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University in 2015, Karatay turned his art into a mission. Growing up with a Kurdish identity in the war-torn atmosphere of the Eastern region, Karatay clearly defined his purpose. With his brush, he focused on sharing the colors, culture, history, pain, and joy of these lands with the world. Using his art as a tool, Karatay expresses the rich history and deep culture of his homeland. In his paintings, he strives to reflect the richness and solidarity that this region carries despite its challenging living conditions. Every stroke of the brush carries meaning, and every color tells a story. Karatay, who conveys the Kurdish identity and the story of the East through art with an Arab identity, touches people's emotions and creates awareness. The artist, who brings the traces of the past to the present, offers viewers the opportunity to explore their own world by expressing the voice of the East through the language of his art. Currently, in various corners of the world, an exhibition is coming to life, telling a unique story in front of historical structures through the hands of Karatay. In this meticulously prepared exhibition, the artist brings Kurdish women together with their instruments. Each note carries ancient voices from the depths of history, and each instrument tells its own unique story. Through his paintings and the harmony of instruments, Karatay makes visible his effort to preserve his culture and pass it on to future generations. The exhibition becomes a unique mosaic brought together by instruments played in front of historical structures, turning into a musical story written by Kurdish women. While celebrating the rich heritage of Kurdish culture, these works also bring together different cultures around the world, forming a bridge.
