Going back to roots...
Since starting roller press hardfacing operations in 1996, Panzercrom has built its expertise in one of the most demanding wear applications. Today, we are performing these works using our own designed and manufactured advanced flux-cored hardfacing wires.
Roller press refurbishment is not a standard welding job; it is a highly controlled metallurgical process where welding procedure and thermal cycle control directly determine performance. This becomes even more critical when working on materials with limited weldability, requiring strict control not only during welding but also over preheating, interpass temperature, cooling rates and the overall process discipline.
In high-pressure grinding conditions, inadequate control leads to dilution issues, residual stresses, and premature failures. For this reason, a controlled and repeatable welding approach is essential to achieve a stable microstructure and reliable bonding between overlay and base material.
This disciplined approach ensures longer service life and consistent, reliable performance in operation.
