🌊⚓ Black Rock Sea Festival Returns! ⚓🌊
Wednesday 30th July, 2025 | 6AM
Wake up to the echo of the conch shell and witness Tobago’s fishing heritage come alive at the Black Rock Sea Festival, a powerful tribute to the community’s deep rooted connection with the sea. 🐚🚶🏽‍♂️🎣
Nestled on Tobago’s southwest coast, the village of Black Rock honours the traditions of its forefathers through a rich lineup of cultural activities including:
🚤 Boat christening
🎣 Seine pulling
🏊🏾‍♂️ Sea sports
🍽️ Culinary delights
From the traditional Wake up Call procession at dawn to the vibrant re-enactments throughout the day, this festival isn’t just about remembering, it’s about preserving, celebrating and passing on a proud maritime legacy. 🌅
“Being able to re enact and share these experiences of sacrifice and solidarity, with visitors and a younger generation, creates the kind of unity that continues to fuel the energy people see in Tobago’s culture, communities and commerce.”

🤝 THTA Board Meets National Leadership
Only three months into our mandate, the newly elected Tobago Hotel & Tourism Association Board is already driving momentum, and we were honoured to meet two key Ministers focused on Tobago’s future:

Hon. Satyakama “Kama” Maharaj, Minister of Trade, Investment & Tourism
Confirmed as a keynote presenter at our Forum, “Tourism: The Fuel of the Future”, set for July 24 at the Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort

Senator Dr. the Honourable Kennedy Swaratsingh, Minister of Planning, Economic Affairs & Development
Engaged in a very productive discussion around sector priorities and strategic planning.

We’re energised by these high‑level discussions and the Ministers’ strong backing. As we look toward the Forum, our Board remains committed to forging action‑oriented partnerships that bring real value to Tobago’s tourism industry and communities.

Stay tuned for updates—bold steps ahead for Tobago tourism!
