Hiking safety tip: Always let someone know where you’re going and when you expect to return. If you’re heading out alone, share your route and check in with someone along the way. 📍✅

There is.no one right way to enjoy the outdoors. Just remember to look out for yourself and those hiking with you! 💚

Tag your hiking partner 😁! And if you’re a solo hiker who enjoys some quiet time alone, this is more popular than you think..many hikers come with no crew and have a great time 🙏

Let’s give those old, worn-out sneakers a little rest at home! 🥹👟💚

The right footwear depends on the hike! Water shoes or Crocs may be fine for some easy trails, but for most hikes, we recommend sturdy sneakers with good to help support you and keep you comfortable as you hike. 🌿👟

One of Trinidad’s most beautiful and popular waterfalls 😍🌴

With a scenic trail, several river crossings and a stunning waterfall with a refreshing pool at its base, Avocat Waterfall is a favourite for first-time hikers, families, friends and even avid hikers 👟💚

But....one of the most unique features of this spot is its natural rooftop jacuzzi to relax and soak in the beauty of all around you 🌴🌳🌲🌿🪷🌸🐟🐠

Sometimes, all you need is a little adventure, fresh air and a reminder of just how beautiful our island is. 🇹🇹✨

💦🌿 Lets go to Caura Falls, Trinidad 🇹🇹

Last weekend we took a trip to the Manacal Valley in Upper Caura to visit Caura Falls. This is a lovely spot to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and to take a moment to slow down and enjoy some time outdoors. 🍃

Did you know? 👀 The name Caura is believed to have Indigenous roots, with some sources linking it to the Arawak word Cuara. Its exact meaning is uncertain, with sources offering different interpretations. 🌿

The hike to Caura Falls is along an easy trail, with a small pool to cool off in at the end. The trail itself is absolutely beautiful with lots of greenery all around 🥰💚💦

Do you know this animal? It's called a Tayra. Found both in forest trees and on the forest floor, they feed on fruit, rodents, snakes and insects.

Because they live up in the trees its easy to mistake them for monkeys. Also called "Chien Bois" Tayras belong to the same family as Otters, Weasels and Badgers.

🌿💦 HIKERS UNITED: ZORRO FALLS HIKE! 🥾🌳

📅 Friday 16th October 2026

Join us for a refreshing Friday afternoon adventure to the beautiful Zorro Falls, nestled at the base of Mount El Tucuche in Rincon! 💚🏞️

Enjoy a short, easy hike through the forest and river, leading to a beautiful waterfall and bathing pool. 💦✨ Perfect for unwinding and connecting with nature after work!

💰 Cost: $50 TTD per person
🚗 Secure Parking: $30 TTD per vehicle
🚙 Transport: Not available (own vehicles)
🥾 Difficulty: 1/10 – Easy!

📍 Meeting Point: Uncle Sam's Bar carpark, Maracas Bay
🕞 Meeting Time: 3:30 PM
🚗 We will drive to the trailhead from the meeting point.
⏰ Departure is strictly 3:45 PM!

🕓 Estimated Hike Start: 4:00 PM
🥾 Hiking Time: Approximately 30 minutes to the falls
🌅 Estimated End: 6:00 PM

💦 Trail Details:
🌿 Easy trail and river walk
💧 Ankle-deep river water in sections
🏞️ Waist-high water through a short gorge
🧗🏽‍♂️ Small rope-assisted climb to the waterfall
