On April 10 the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay will welcome its first Emirates Airline inbound flight from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The flight will kick-start a weekly schedule of Emirates Airline aircraft arriving and departing Jamaica via Frankfurt, Germany.

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

Effective today, 12 March 2025, all nationals of Trinidad and Tobago will need a visa before travelling to or through (transiting) the UK, including on short visits.

- You will now need to apply for a visitor VISA
- If in transit through the UK you would have to apply for a Direct Airside transit visa.

This is in addition to established requirements to obtain a visa to travel to the UK for the purpose of Work, Study and Settlement.

There will be a six-week transition period until 15:00 on 23 April 2025, during which time visitors who booked their travel and obtained an ETA before the changes can still enter the UK without a visa. There is also a transition period for passengers who are transiting via the UK to an onward destination.

✈️ LIAT 2020 Adds Flights to Jamaica and Trinidad as Expansion Continues- Direct flights to Jamaica starts on December 20 and flights to Trinidad starts December 19, 2024.

This follows the recent addition of Guyana with plans to extend theie service to Montego Bay in 2025.

Take note - From Nov 1st 2024 your TT$ currency as in Cash will no longer be accepted at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad - you would only be able to pay with your debit/credit card unless you have US, British Pounds Sterling & Euro currency.
