November 30th 2022: Operation Clean up and Rehabilitate.

Dear bmobile,
Your contractors came and did restorative works in the area. Thank you for that. However, the damaged wires were indiscriminately dumped on our property yet again.

It’s hard to replant and rehabilitate an estate with these copious amounts of discarded wires on the property. It’s even more upsetting when there was an additional truck on site for the purpose of collecting these discarded wires, however it seems it was not used.

Please do better bmobile.

A massive landslide occurred on the Grande Riviere main road this week posing a serious threat to our estate. The contractor hired to Clear the road unfortunately had to throw the debris onto the estate destroying many of our cocoa trees. Our extension officer at the ministry of AGRICULTURE El Reposo was contacted.. Expecting a visit soon.

On the 21st - 25th of November 2022 we participated in a training course hosted by the Cocoa Research Centre. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Thanks to the Cocoa Research Centre for hosting us and to our trainers and facilitators that taught us valuable lessons and skills. Soon you'll be able to taste the efforts of our hard work.

We had some very special visitors to the Leroy Peters Estate. The newly appointed Japanese Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency MATSUBARA Yutaka spent some time with us, exploring the cocoa estate and enjoying the Grand Rivière hospitality and local delicacies.
