Due to the popularity and high demand we're doing another turtle watching tour in Matura for the long weekend!!

Over the the past few weeks we've done multple private turtle watching tours and we were so lucky to get lots of mother turtles laying and lots of baby hatchlings on a nightly basis.

There's only a small window of opportunity remaining in the season to experience this beautiful natural process so book your spots early!

Highlights of our Mother's Day weekend turtle watching tour at Matura.

It was a perfect night out on the beach; with bright moonlight 🌚 guiding our way, a cool ocean 🌬️ breeze and lots of leatherback turtles 🐢 nesting.

No matter how many times we do this tour, it's always a wonderful experience to witness such majestic creatures performing their duties and it was definitely a fitting way to bring in Mother's Day with so many turtle mums 🐢❤️

The Leatherback Turtle nesting season is at its peak with lots of turtles laying each night as well as the first groups of hatchlings starting to emerge!

This is a really enjoyable and informative family-friendly tour {however we don't recommend it for kids under 5 years old}.

The Guides

Just trippin’ is led by Devindra Harnarine, a trained and certified tour guide, based in San Fernando, Trinidad. Devindra has years of experience leading both local and foreign tourists on a wide range of tours, having been a tour guide at the cruise ship complex and a hike leader for a number of hiking clubs.

The other guides on the Just trippin’ team have years of hiking experience and expertise. All guides are trained and certified first aiders and have swimming rescue skills training.
