Cycling the East Coast of Taiwan. It doesn't get any better than this.

Upcoming trips: Jiuhaocha slate house village in March, and three 3000 meter peaks in one weekend in April.

Jiuhaocha March 22–23: This Rukai village dates back centuries. There has never been road access here, so the village maintains its traditional charm more than anywhere else. This will really have you feeling like you've left the Taiwan that you are familiar with. We will have a swim under a waterfall, a BBQ on the stone patio, and conversation with our local host who grew up in the village and built the stone house in which we will spend the night. South Three Stars April 19–20 or 26–27: These three peaks are all day hikes done with light packs from the South Cross-Island Highway. All are over 3000 meters and part of the 100 Peaks of Taiwan, the baiyue. Day 1 will be Taguan (塔關山) and Guanshanling (關山嶺山) Mountains. Overnight in Taitung County, then back into Kaohsiung on Day 2 for Kuhanuoxin Mountain (庫哈諾辛山) and a return to the city. We hope to have several trips coming up over the next few months and we'll post them soon.

In the meantime we have two of our most popular trips arranged for February as below:

Jinshuiying Ancient Trail:
Our most popular one-day hike crossing the island from Taitung to Pingtung will be going out for two trips on Sat. and Sun Feb. 15 and 16.
It departs from Kaohsiung at 6am and returns the same day at 6pm.

Jiuhaocha Rukai Slate Village:
A 5-6 hr. hike deep into the mountains of Pingtung takes you to a different world of slate houses in an indigenous heartland.
