Recently I had the chance to explore Taiwan on a trade famil, and it’s a destination that really exceeded expectations.

What stood out most was the variety — within a short space of time you move from vibrant city life in Taipei to dramatic coastal scenery, traditional culture, and local food experiences that feel authentic rather than staged.

It’s also incredibly easy to travel, which makes a big difference for anyone looking for a well-paced trip without long travel days.

Taiwan sits in a great position for travellers who have already visited places like Japan or are looking for something a little different across Asia.

We’ve now launched our Adventure Proud Taiwan tour, designed to capture many of the experiences that make this destination so special.

If you’d like more details, feel free to reach out.

There’s something about Korean BBQ that just works — especially on the final night of a trip.

On Day 10 in Seoul, we gather around the grill for one last shared experience. No formalities, no set plates — just great food, conversation, and that relaxed feeling that comes when a group has travelled well together.

You cook your own meat, build your own wraps, pass dishes around the table… and before you know it, hours have gone by.

It’s social, it’s interactive, and it’s the perfect way to reflect on everything you’ve experienced across South Korea.

A simple dinner — but one that stays with you.

Experience Korean BBQ in Seoul — a social, interactive dining tradition and the perfect way to celebrate your final night on a South Korea tour.

Among the forested hills of Gyeongju sits one of South Korea’s most remarkable historic sites — Bulguksa Temple.

Originally built in the 8th century during the Silla Dynasty, this UNESCO World Heritage temple is a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture. Stone stairways symbolising the journey to enlightenment lead to elegant wooden halls, while two iconic pagodas stand quietly in the temple courtyard — each representing balance and harmony within Buddhist philosophy.

It’s a place where history feels alive. The peaceful surroundings, mountain landscape, and centuries-old structures create a sense of calm that stays with you long after you leave.

Travellers on Day 6 of Adventure Proud’s K-Pride & Culture: A Journey Through South Korea visit Bulguksa as part of exploring Gyeongju — the ancient capital often called “the museum without walls.”

A beautiful reminder that some places are more than historic landmarks — they’re experiences.

There’s a moment on our South Korea journey when the pace of travel slows completely.

On Day 4, we leave Seoul and travel into the Korean countryside for an overnight temple stay — a peaceful retreat surrounded by forests, streams, and centuries of Buddhist tradition.

Guests experience meditation, temple cuisine, and the powerful Buddhist instrument ritual, where deep drumbeats and ceremonial bells echo through the valley at sunset.

It’s a rare opportunity to experience Korean culture in a deeply authentic way — and often becomes one of the most meaningful moments of the trip.

Jagalchi Fish Market is one of Busan’s most fascinating places to explore — a lively seafood market that reflects the city’s deep connection to the ocean.

Rows of stalls display everything from freshly caught fish to traditional dried seafood, giving visitors a window into everyday Korean food culture. It’s a place where locals shop, vendors trade, and Busan’s maritime heritage comes to life.

Travellers on K-Pride & Culture: A Journey Through South Korea have the chance to explore Jagalchi Fish Market during free time on Day 9 in Busan, whether that means tasting fresh seafood or simply soaking up the atmosphere.

Markets like Jagalchi reveal the real character of a destination — vibrant, authentic, and full of stories.

Rajasthan is famous for its grand forts, royal palaces, and vibrant cities — but sometimes the most powerful experiences are the quietest ones.

Ranakpur Jain Temple sits tucked into the Aravalli Hills, built entirely from white marble and supported by 1,444 intricately carved pillars, each completely unique. Walking through it feels less like sightseeing and more like stepping into calm.

On our Palaces & Heritage: Royal Hearts of North India journey, this stop comes between Jodhpur and Udaipur — perfectly placed to slow the pace and experience a different side of India’s culture and spirituality.

It’s often the moment travellers say the trip truly sinks in.

If you want a journey that balances colour, culture, connection and reflection — this is exactly why we designed it this way.

Most people imagine Jodhpur from a rooftop — blue houses stretching across the horizon beneath Mehrangarh Fort.

But the real introduction to the city happens at ground level.

In Sardar Market, life moves quickly but naturally. Locals shop for dinner, vendors chat between customers, and travellers find themselves eating a hot samosa while scooters hum past in every direction. It’s not a performance for visitors — it’s daily life, and you’re suddenly part of it.

This is one of the moments on our India tour where everything clicks.
The country stops feeling intimidating and starts feeling welcoming.

Because once you’ve shared food in a market, you’re no longer watching India — you’re experiencing it.

Explore Jodhpur’s vibrant Sardar Market on the Adventure Proud India tour — spices, samosas and real Rajasthan beyond the Blue City.

Winding through cedar forests and climbing deep into Taiwan’s central mountains, the Alishan Forest Railway is one of those journeys where the experience matters just as much as the destination.

Originally built over a century ago, this historic mountain railway now offers travellers a rare chance to slow down — to watch the landscape shift, feel the air cool, and connect with a quieter side of Taiwan shaped by tea, forests, and tradition.

It’s experiences like this that remind us why meaningful travel isn’t about rushing — it’s about presence. 🌲🚆

Ride Taiwan’s historic Alishan Forest Railway through misty mountains, cedar forests, and tea country on one of Asia’s most scenic train journeys.
