If you’re visiting London, I’d definitely recommend spending half a day in Greenwich.
I originally came for the Royal Observatory Greenwich, home to the Prime Meridian, where you can stand with one foot in the Eastern Hemisphere and the other in the Western Hemisphere 🌍
Then I got to the ticket office and realized admission was around £26 🤣 So I decided to admire it from outside instead!
Luckily, you can still see a free version of the Prime Meridian outside the observatory and take photos with the famous 24-hour clock.
From there, it’s a lovely walk down to the Thames. On the way, I stopped by GAIL’s Bakery and honestly… maybe I was just hungry, but it was so good 😂
At the riverside, you’ll find the iconic Cutty Sark, a historic tea clipper that’s now a museum and one of Greenwich’s most famous landmarks.
My favourite discovery, though, was the Greenwich Foot Tunnel. The round glass building next to the Cutty Sark is actually the entrance to a tunnel beneath the Thames!
Take the lift down and you can walk all the way to the Isle of Dogs on the other side of the river — completely free and surprisingly fun.
Definitely one of my favourite areas in London ❤️
