Alright, here's part I.

That said, I've decided I'm going to work on a book or a zine and any proceeds made from it, I will be donating to Cuba Skate (https://cubaskate.org/about/) which is a fantastic non profit that not only brings skate boards/decks, wheels, and bearings to Cubans, they are also teaching Cubans how to build/fix their own boards (as Cuba has NO skate shops in the entire country). Maybe I won't "make" that much money from sales, but anything I make from it will 100% go towards this organization.

ICYMI - One of my friends got married in Victoria BC almost two years ago and I finally blogged about it 😅

While researching places to eat in Victoria, I learned that there isn't much in the blogosphere (recent anyway, most of the posts I found were at least 5 years old). That's too bad because the seafood is so fresh, and the city is a nice place to visit.

What do you do when you've been to Taipei a bunch of times and want to try something different? Take a cooking class!

Calvin was able to work with me (lack of skill) and The Boyfriend (has skills) simultaneously. We learned how to make dumplings from scratch, pickled veggies, soup, and braised tofu/egg/meat. It was super relaxed and fun. If you ever are looking for a great way to spend a day with the end result being tasty food you made yourself, check out Calvin's Gotucook Cooking Class!

Btw - if you only speak English, he's got you covered. He can teach you in both English and Mandarin 😎

ICYMI - While I was away from FB, I did post a few times on my blog. I hear blogs are dead, but I still see you looking 😜

I went back to my favorite place in Taiwan last winter - 茶山 aka "tea mountain" and like the other times I've been there, it was great. The only difference is now more and more people are going so if you want to check it out, make sure to book ahead of time!

[New Post!] - Noodle in a Haystack's yuzu shio ramen experience. It's hard to find good ramen in Norcal, but with a few chains like Santouka (I still need to try the newly opened Ramen Nagi in Palo Alto), and Noodle in a Haystack, things are looking up!
