If March 13th through 21st next year sounds like exactly the right time for tropical islands, tropical drinks and tropical weather, listen up — because you can join our family for an ultra-luxury, six-country Caribbean island-hopping adventure aboard the brand-new Explora III.

Next spring, we’re doing something a little warmer. We’ll start in Miami, where anyone who comes in early can join us for a return to the scene of one of our favorite episodes: our Little Havana Mojito Crawl.

Then we board the brand-new Explora III — one of the newest luxury ships on the ocean.

Every suite is oceanfront with a private terrace. There are five resort-style pools, twelve upscale bars and lounges, 5-star dining, premium cocktails, w**e and bottomless Ch*****ne — and an almost 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio that means the level of service will be insane.

But we still have five more countries to explore!

First, Turks and Caicos, where we can hit world-famous Grace Bay, then get offshore for reefs, snorkeling and those ridiculous turquoise-water sandbars that don't even look real.

Then Antigua and Barbuda — home to the famous claim of 365 beaches, which gives us roughly ten hours to see as many as humanly possible.

Next is Guadeloupe, where our cultural education may involve a proper Ti’ Punch: agricole rum, lime and sugar — traditionally without even bothering with ice.

Then Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, where we stop at tiny Bequia. And I’ve already discovered there’s a solar-powered bar floating in Admiralty Bay that you reach by water taxi.

And finally, Barbados, considered the birthplace of rum, where Mount Gay traces its history all the way back to 1703. So we may need to stay a couple extra days for historical research, of course.

But this isn’t just a cruise we’re selling. We’re going with you.

Our family will be there all week — hosting cocktail parties, handing out Club7 travel gear, hanging with you at the pools, exploring the islands and hopefully creating the group onboard that everybody else is wondering how the hell they missed out on.

Spring Break* 2027 is taking us from Miami to Barbados aboard the brand-new Explora III — with a few extremely important stops for “research” along the way.

We’ll kick things off in Miami with an optional return to the scene of our Little Havana mojito crawl — mojitos, cubanos, Calle Ocho, and another chance to prove we learned absolutely nothing the first time.

Then it’s Turks & Caicos for Grace Bay, reefs, sandbars and the kind of turquoise water that makes you question your return flight.

Antigua gives us 365 beaches and about 10 hours to see as many as possible. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

In Guadeloupe, we’ll be hunting down a proper Ti’ Punch — agricole rum, lime and sugar, traditionally with no ice — ideally somewhere around Pointe-à-Pitre’s colorful markets.

Then comes tiny Bequia, where there’s a floating bar in Admiralty Bay that you reach by water taxi, complete with swing seats, rum punch and the ability to jump straight into the Caribbean.

And finally, Barbados — the birthplace of rum — where we may have to tack on a couple extra days for historical research. Obviously.

In between? Sea days filled with pools, Ch*****ne, spa time, lounges, long lunches, spontaneous plans and the kind of group-trip energy where new travel buddies start forming before you even realize it.

This isn’t just a great sailing. It’s a hosted journey with our family — with cocktail parties, Club7 travel gear, extra off-menu fun, and a whole group of old friends and new friends doing the Caribbean together.

Spring break is wasted on the young. So we’re taking one anyway. March 14–21, 2027, we’re sailing from Miami to Barbados aboard the brand-spankin’ new Explora III — seven nights, six countries, ridiculous beaches, included Ch*****ne, a Little Havana pre-game, cocktail parties, Club7 goodies, and what we fully intend to be one extremely classy bad idea.

We have room for 40+ old friends and new friends to join us, and we negotiated some absolutely mental group pricing for this sailing.

Apparently, we learned nothing.

The best part of an expedition cruise? Half of it doesn't even happen on the ship.

We tendered into Klawock — a Łingít community of about seven hundred, which means when our ship rolls in, we casually bump the town's population by roughly fifty percent. It's a ten-thousand-year-old community, one of the oldest in the Northwest, and its Totem Park has 21 poles carved from red cedar, each one a family's whole story. The eerie detail: the originals were mortuary totems, with cremated remains from the families sealed inside. This is also the hometown of Elizabeth Peratrovich, who muscled the first anti-discrimination law in the entire U.S. through the Alaska legislature in 1945. Small town, giant footprint.

Then we swapped our sea legs for hiking shoes at Thompson Pass above Valdez — wildflowers, glaciers, and bashful marmots (basically alpine beavers). Forty-five minutes from the port and you forget you're on a cruise at all. This is where we learned that gorges with steep walls like this one are carved by their rivers, while the ones with gently-curved sides like this were formed by glaciers. The more you know.

And for the very last excursion of the whole trip: sea kayaking in Prince William Sound. Quiet water, glaciers all around, just us and the drip of the paddles. Okay, and also the drip of more liquid sunshine. But what a way to full-circle us right back to that first misty Zodiac just over a week ago. This place is truly poetic.
