✈️ Adventure is calling... but so is work!

Tomorrow I'll be setting off on an incredible 7-week journey through the UK, Spain, Ecuador, Peru and Chile, exploring some truly unforgettable destinations along the way.

The good news? I'll still be working while I travel! 🌍💻

As your personal Travel Agent, I'll continue looking after bookings and enquiries while I'm overseas. I'll still be contactable via email and WhatsApp, however please allow a little extra time for replies due to flights, time zones and the occasional lack of phone reception.

📅 Up until 6 September: I'll be working as normal (just with a different office view!).

🌿 From 6 September for 10 business days: I'll be venturing deep into the Amazon Jungle before taking on the incredible Quarry Trail hike to Machu Picchu. During this time I'll have very limited or no communication.

If you need assistance while I'm off the grid, don't worry! The fantastic MTA Assistance Team will be available to look after all existing bookings, enquiries and any urgent travel matters. Their contact details will be provided in my email auto-reply and WhatsApp away message.

I can't wait to bring you along for the adventure with airline reviews, hotel stays, destination inspiration, behind-the-scenes moments and plenty of travel tips from the road.

📲 If you're not already following along, I'd love to have you there! Head over to and come explore the world with me. There'll be plenty of stories, reels and real-time travel updates over the next seven weeks!

Thank you so much for your continued support—it means the world. See you from somewhere beyond the borders! 🌎✨

🌍 **Middle East Travel Update – SmartTraveller Advice Updated**

SmartTraveller has updated its advice for several destinations in the Middle East, with **Bahrain, Israel, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates now listed as "Reconsider your need to travel" (Level 3).**

The security situation across the region remains unpredictable, and travellers are encouraged to carefully assess whether their trip is essential.

✈️ If you need to transit through these destinations:
• Keep stopovers as short as possible
• Avoid unnecessary activities outside the airport or hotel
• Monitor airline and government updates closely

**What does this mean for travel insurance?**

With these destinations now at **Level 3**, many travel insurance providers are once again able to offer cover for travel to or through these countries. This is welcome news for travellers with upcoming stopovers or holidays in the region.

However, it is important to understand that **travel insurance policies do not cover losses arising from acts of war, armed conflict or related events**, regardless of the destination's advice level. Coverage can also vary between insurers, so always check the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and seek advice if you are unsure.

For Australians currently in the region, remain vigilant, stay informed and follow local authorities' advice. Travel advice can change with little notice.

There have been **no changes** to advice levels for other Middle East destinations at this time. "Do Not Travel" advisories remain in place for Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Yemen.

If you have upcoming travel through the Middle East and would like to discuss your flights, stopovers or travel insurance options, please feel free to reach out.

As travel professionals our advisors' role is to get travellers to where they want to go safely and confidently. Australia's Level 4 travel advisory for Middle Eastern airports is making travel harder than it needs to be. Transiting through Dubai or Doha for a few hours is not the same as travelling in a war zone. Australia's travel advisory needs to reflect that.

Travel planning is about so much more than booking flights and hotels ✈️

A lot happens behind the scenes before a trip even becomes confirmed — researching options, comparing suppliers, checking details, building itineraries and making sure everything works together seamlessly.

While not every enquiry turns into a booking (and that’s completely okay 💛), I thought it was important to share a little insight into the value of working with a travel agent.

You’re not just paying for a booking — you’re getting experience, support, guidance and someone who genuinely cares about making your trip as smooth and stress-free as possible.

And when you support a small business like mine, you’re supporting a real person behind the screen who truly appreciates every enquiry, booking, recommendation, comment and share more than you probably realise.

Thank you for being here and supporting my small business journey ✨

If you’re planning a trip and would like personalised advice and support along the way, I’d love to help 💛
