🇺🇸 Florida Meets Taipei 🇹🇼: A Big Adventure!

February 12 was a very special day for me!
I met a wonderful group of 9 people from Florida, USA.
To be honest, I was a little nervous! 😅 I usually guide smaller groups. Because this was a big group, I studied hard and prepared everything carefully.

We started at Dihua Street. It was very crowded and lively for the Lunar New Year! We found a nice spot at a shop called 滋養和果子"Wagashi." We had red bean sweets and drank hot tea under the arcade. 🍵

Next, we went to Taipei 101 to see the amazing city view. Of course, we ate the famous soup dumplings at Din Tai Fung!

The most special part was Ciyou Temple. I taught everyone how to pray, and we got lucky charms to keep them safe. We finished the night at Raohe Night Market with hot Pepper Buns and a walk by the Rainbow Bridge. 🌉
I am so happy they had a great time!

What a perfect day! I met two amazing friends from Florida. 🇺🇸✨ We explored Dadaocheng together like locals.

We had breakfast under the big tree at the temple, tried many sweets in Dihua Street, and enjoyed Fried Chicken with Cold Beer at the Pier. It was so much fun! We talked about everything—family, work, and life in Taiwan and the US. We are the same age, so we are like old friends!

They liked the tour so much that they booked another night market tour with me! We ate so much delicious food at Raohe and Tonghua Night Markets. My stomach is so full but my heart is happy! ❤️

Who says you only go to night markets for the food? 🍍🛍️

This January, I had the absolute pleasure of hosting a group of lifelong friends from across the US. From the moment we met, I knew it was going to be a night full of laughs—they are some of the most warm-hearted, spirited, and hilariously witty people I’ve ever guided!

Since they arrived at Raohe Street Night Market with full bellies, we pivoted from a "foodie tour" to an epic "Taipei Treasure Hunt." Watching them fall in love with local Taiwanese gems was the highlight of my week.

The Iconic Gaji Bags: They’re now rocking the legendary "Taiwanese LV" (red, blue, and green stripes).

Sweet Souvenirs: Stacks of buttery Pineapple Cakes.

Lunar New Year Prep: Festive Red Envelopes for that authentic local touch.

Style: Fresh Taiwan-themed T-shirts and hats to remember the trip.

The night ended with a huge surprise—their incredible generosity left me speechless. But honestly? The best "tip" was the friendship and the stories we shared under the neon lights. This is exactly why I love being a City Unscripted guide: turning a tour into a memory with new friends.

A lovely family came to visit Beitou this Avro!
We walked through a local day market, experiencing a real local vibe. Playground in a community park, had fun right next to a quiet cram school lol, we encountered beautiful girls as shy as me in a "Beitou hot spring Guanyin ceremony", a green library, Hot spring hand bath in front of the Thermal valley, and the Hot spring Museum!
A family tour with kids is always my favorite, and Beitou is the best place for kids to release energy!
