📢ADVISORY

FOR ALL ACCOMMODATION ESTABLISHMENTS IN EASTERN VISAYAS OPERATING AS QUARANTINE FACILITIES OF RETURNING OVERSEAS FILIPINOS COMING FROM THE FLAGGED COUNTRIES MUST ENSURE 14-DAY MANDATORY QUARANTINE

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is enjoining all accommodation establishments in Eastern Visayas that are operating as quarantine or isolation facilities for Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) coming from the flagged countries, with existing booking in your respective properties to ensure that the 14-day mandatory quarantine, notwithstanding a negative RT-PCR result, should be strictly followed.

As ordered by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, through the National Task Force against COVID – 19, all arriving flights from the following flagged countries shall undergo RT-PCR swab test and be subjected to a 14-day mandatory facility - based quarantine:

Iceland
Denmark
Italy
Ireland
Lebanon
Japan
Singapore
Australia
Sweden
Israel
South Korea
The Netherlands
South Africa
Hongkong
Canada
Switzerland
Spain
France
Germany
United States of America

Please be further reminded that accommodation establishments operating as quarantine or isolation facilities are prohibited from accepting guests for staycation, leisure and business guests as per administrative issuances of the Department of Tourism.

Likewise, hotel management must ensure a fast and convenient check in procedure of ROFs upon arrival at their property to reduce the probable exposure and risk of getting COVID – 19.

Effective midnight of December 29, 2020, all passengers originating from the countries listed below will not be allowed to enter the Philippines. This is a precautionary measure put into place by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious diseases in preventing the entry of second COVID-19 strain which was recently detected.
