✨極東、慢旅｜微風輕拂的秋季騎行🍂
九月的東北角，暑氣漸退，微涼的秋風開始吹拂。
天空不再是盛夏的炙熱烈陽，而是帶點柔和的藍，偶有雲彩緩緩飄過。
這正是最適合 放慢腳步、慢旅騎行 的時節。
🚴♀️從【嶐嶐隧道口自行車】出發，穿越紅磚圓拱的【舊草嶺隧道】，沿著【舊草嶺環狀線】，感受歷史的脈動；
再沿著海岸線前行，迎著秋風，腳下是緩慢轉動的車輪，心裡則是日常裡少有的自在與放鬆。
🚩行經【三貂角燈塔】，更別錯過一個特別的地標，
當你站在觀景台，看著這個小小突出的一嶼，沒錯，這裡正是📍台灣本島的極東點。
眼前是一望無際的太平洋，是否有種身處在葡萄牙羅卡角的既視感，
內心油然升起一股「陸止於此、海始於斯 Onde a terra acaba e o mar começa」之感💛🌅
✏️三貂角之名，源於1626年，西班牙船隊航經此處。
有一說認為船隊見到此處險峻的海灣與海蝕平台的景觀，就以西文稱為「Santiego」，紀錄於航海日誌中；
另一說則是船隊登陸後，將附近的原住民部落以西班牙語命名為「Santiego」，隨後西班牙傳教士又在此興建同名教堂。
不論如何，這個西班牙文詞彙「Santiego」，後來都被此地先民以台語轉譯為「三貂角」，且擴大使用於附近的海角地帶，
久而久之，就成為了現今地名。

✨ Far East of Taiwan｜The Easternmost Point Slow Travel｜An Autumn Ride with Gentle Breeze 🍂
September on Taiwan’s Northeast Coast—
the summer heat fades, replaced by the cool touch of autumn wind.
The sky softens into a calmer blue, with clouds drifting lazily above.

🚩 Passing Sandiaojiao Lighthouse, don’t miss a special landmark—
standing on the observation deck, looking out at a small cape that juts into the sea, you are at 📍none other than the easternmost point of Taiwan’s main island.
Before you lies the boundless Pacific Ocean. You may feel as if you’ve reached Portugal’s Cabo da Roca, where the famous words come to mind:
“Onde a terra acaba e o mar começa.”
— “Here is where the land ends, and the sea begins.” 💛🌅
✏️ The name Sandiaojiao dates back to 1626, when Spanish fleets passed through these waters.
Some believe the sailors, seeing the rugged bay and wave-carved platforms, named it “Santiego” in their logs.
Others say they named the nearby indigenous village Santiego, and Spanish missionaries later built a church with the same name.
Over time, this Spanish word “Santiego” was adapted into the Taiwanese Hokkien sound Sandiao, and eventually became the place name we use today: Sandiaojiao.
