【Setting Sail in the Rain! Tse Xin Team Roots the Hope of Spring in Canadian Wetlands】
"A rainy day is a perfect day for planting." This saying seems to hold true no matter where in the world you are.
Today, on Prince Edward Island, Canada, amidst a chilly 6°C spring rain, the Tree Planting team of Tse Xin Foundation from Taiwan joined forces with our local partners—Macphail Woods and Moonlight International Foundation—to launch a wetland restoration initiative. Together, we planted a variety of native wetland species, including Swamp Milkweed, Blue Vervain, Blue Flag Iris, and Blue-eyed Grass. These beautiful flowering plants serve as vital nectar sources for pollinators, and the Swamp Milkweed, in particular, is an essential host plant for the Monarch Butterfly.
This partnership began in 2025 when Tse Xin Foundation was invited by the Moonlight International Foundation to cross the ocean and assist in proactive ecological conservation on their land holdings. In collaboration with the local environmental experts at Macphail Woods Ecological Forestry Project, we have mapped out a series of long-term projects: wetland restoration, the creation of ecological corridors in organic farmland and forest recovery in abandoned orchards.
Today, this international collaboration has officially set sail!
