The Lioness Who Owns Lemiyoni 🦁🔥

On my second-last visit to Lemiyoni Water Pool in Tarangire, I witnessed an unforgettable scene—a head of elephants arrived for a drink and boldly chased a female lioness away from the water.

Since that moment, this place has become one of my favorite spots in the wild.

And today… she was back. 🦁

A beautiful lioness, one of the familiar queens of this area, enjoying a quiet day around the water pool. She was simply licking her lips, panting in the heat, and completely unbothered by our presence as we watched from a respectful distance.

No hunting. No chasing. No drama today.

Just a powerful queen taking her time, reminding us that in the wild, even the smallest moments can tell the biggest stories.

Yes… she is one of them. And Lemiyoni is becoming her kingdom. 👑🌿

At the Lemiyoni Water Pool in Tarangire National Park, this elegant elephant family marched in with quiet confidence. A lion, hidden nearby and waiting for the perfect hunting opportunity, suddenly found itself outnumbered. One warning charge was enough—the predator retreated, and the elephants reclaimed the waterhole.

No fear. No panic. Just the unshakable power of family.

In the African wilderness, strength isn’t always about claws and teeth. Sometimes, it’s about standing together and protecting those you love.
