Njozi Camp

Njozi Camp Njozi Camp is the first safari camp in Tanzania to employ local wildlife biologists full-time on staff.

The biologists are researching the big cats of the Serengeti system and share details that enhance our guest experience. Njozi Camp moves with the great migration from the calving grounds in Ndutu north to the dramatic Mara River crossings.

The biggest mission of our Big Cats Project is to sensitize conservation to the world by empowering the locals from the community and engaging the tourism industry, i.e, working with other guides and park rangers on ways to build great ethics of guiding, giving big cats talk to our guests and assigning trainees in the project. By these efforts, we believe in making a disruptive change that can bring a positive impact to the tourism industry and make a greater change to the world and the coming generations.

Tawny Eagle Vs African Marsh Owl

Amazing how little parental care is required to these prey animals, ready to survive from the predators of the savannah.
Our guide and biologist observed this newborn wildebeest exercising its first gaits. Our guests were amazed on how fast it took for this newborn to independently keep up with its mother and join the herds after 8 minutes of struggles.

The year ends well with a successful hunt from a female cheetah with tiny little cubs that can't be seen yet since they are still dependent to their mother. It was an early morning when she was coming from the Big Marsh heading to the woodlands with her empty stomach, she needed something to eat for her to nurse the cubs.

She had an extremely long day in the woodlands looking for prey with four missed attempts until she finally took down an adult female steenbok after 11 hours of being tracked by our guide and biologist_ & , together with their guests

Njozi camp team would love to wish you a happy and a successful new year!
