THE COST OF TREKKING KILIMANJARO??

The average cost to climb Kilimanjaro is $2500 to $6500, the price varies from cheap, budget operators to large Western travel agents selling outsourced climbs at an inflated price. There are various, unavoidable fixed costs to any tour operator, and if a climb seems too cheap, means tour company is charging you below $2000 you've got to ask yourself why.

Mid-range Kilimanjaro treks (where the cost of climbing Kili is US$2500-3500)
Between US$2500 and US$3500, you are right in the mid-range of companies and there are several very good value choices here. Most of the larger Tanzanian companies inhabit this territory, and several have their own hotels now. One or two even have a lodge in one of the national parks. This means that you could be in their care from the moment you arrive at the airport to the moment you fly out at the end.

7 Days/6 nights Kilimanjaro Trek – Rongai Route
Rongai Route is among the least frequented of all the official routes in Kilimanjaro.

This route experiences less traffic of climbers even though it’s popularity continues to rise, albeit gradually.

The Rongai starts on the north side of the mountain just south of the Kenyan border, and is one of the least traveled routes. The Rongai joins the Marangu for the summit climb, then you descend the Marangu Route on the mountain’s southeast side, so you see Kilimanjaro from many view points.

During the rainy season, Rongai route is considered the best route as it is located in the rain shadow of Kilimanjaro and sees substantially less rainfall than its southern counterparts.
