Visited a shamba chumvi (salt farm) in Tanga with our Australian riders. Respect to these women in Tanga! These women work in the sun at about 35C harvesting salt by hand! The labor force was mostly women. Did you know women make 54% of the agriculture and small-scale labor force in Tanzania?
