Bob Junior was a dominant male lion who was found in the Eastern part of Serengeti National Park. For years, Bob Junior has been known for being strong - he would fight to the death or chase away any other lions who would try to invade his territory. Bob Junior was loved by many tour guides for his good looks with a dark mane. On March 11, 2023, Junior died from a heavy fight against 3 domestic males for territory dominance. His brother was missing since the day before this fight, which brought speculation that maybe he was killed first by the same group or that he escaped to avoid death. A legend is gone! You’ll always be remembered Junior!

Mount Meru, located inside Arusha National Park, stands at 14,968ft (4,562m).

The mountain can be climbed in 3 or 4 days, we generally recommend the four-day option.
A Mount Meru climb can be used as an acclimatization hike before a Kilimanjaro attempt, or for clients who don't have enough time for Kili.
